Well there’s a lot that goes into live events that I didn’t get to mention.. Production, operations, ticketing, artist relations & hospitality, marketing, design/branding, press, etc. I was talking about the booking side of things.
To be fair, as a worker, my job is to just let people know that that's the other half of the industry. Don't think it's personal. It's something that happens in my field constantly. And it's important to start looking at the production people as important assets too because we literally have to compete as well. But we don't get any love.

Tell em, Nancy!
I can't rivet but I can help rig a stage, I even have my OSHA 10 that now needs to be a 30.

what do you do?
I do both film production sound recording, and AV technician work for stage and commercial production. I have worked multiple types of scenarios including small-mid sized non union stages, dj shows and bands, and different levels of larger performances depending on where I was set in the working margins.
Also, would Major Lazer play second to last on Other after closing Which last time?
I thought 12-1 AM spot on The Other would be more prime than later in the night where the overall energy of attendees would be a bit less, that's why I put them there. I might swap with FP though
That's how I look at it. The prime Other spot starts somewhere between 12 and 1. The acts before and after should kind of radiate out in terms of importance/billing.
Thu: Porridge Radio > Spellling > ??? (maybe King Tuff) > Tropical Fuck Storm > ??? > Brutus (couple of down time for me, but I can just wander around and see if I like any of the acts playing) Fri: Julia Jacklin > BCUC > Sampha > Liam Gallagher > Angel Olsen > BOCC > GY!BE > Billie Eilish > Sufjan Stevens (love this Billie > Sufjan transition) > Caribou (very strong day, I'd be exhausted after this day for sure) Sat: Empress Of > Phantogram > Stormzy > Moses Sumney > MARINA > Raconteurs (prolly sitting far away from the stage) > Camila or more realistically camp for > Radiohead > YOB > Rufus > BICEP (another strong day) Sun: Chloe x Halle > Vince Staples > Kamasi > BANKS > Solange > Paul Simon (although would leave a bit early since not a fan of his) (this is a chill day for me, but after Sat & Sun, that's totally fine
Overall, one of my favorite lineups although I must say this is a bit too good for Bonnaroo I think it'd be an improvement after all.
Thu: Drugdealer > CAAMP > Faye Webster > L'Imperatrice > Maxo Kream (this is a strong Thu, I like it) Fri: Goth Babe (this is a nice grab) > Alvvays > Chaka Khan (feel like billed a bit early) > Sharon VS CHIC (this is mean) > St. Vincent > Bon Iver > Madonna > Kaytranada (it's a good run, and a nice flow overall) Sat: Dirty Projectors > Little Simz > Kelela > Blondie > Anderson .Paak > Grimes > The Weeknd > Calvin Harris (another good run here) Sun: Anna Calvi > Yola > Sheryl Crow > Courtney Barnett > David Byrne > Ms. Lauryn Hill (if she shows up) > David Gilmour
Thu: Smerz > Lingua Ignota > Kelsey Lu > 070 Shake > JPEGMAFIA Fri: Laura Marling > Mitski > Woods > The 1975 > Ellie Goulding > Dolly Parton > Electric Wizard > SOAD > Death Grips (nothing much for me in the earlier times, but rest of the day makes it up) Sat: cupcaKke > Tones & I > Uncle Acid > Troye Sivan > Hinds > Brandi Carlile > Weyes Blood VS Tove Lo (this is mean) > Robert Plant > Mary J Blige > Frank Ocean > Aphex Twin > The Avalanches (this is just so good - I won't add comments for the other criteria, I'm sure you're tired of hearing it - glad to see you owned Aphex though) Sun: Melody > Jacques Greene > Jenny Hval > Mandolin Orange > Modest Mouse (anything else after this don't do much for me)
Thu: Viagra Boys > Loyle Carner > Sleaford Mods > The Rocky Horror Picture Show (love this pick) - chill Thu Fri: Everything Everything > Dr. Dog > Parcels > Lily Allen > serpentwithfeet > Deftones > Mount Kimbie > Pixies > Ariana > Tycho (this run is fun) Sat: U.S Girls > Miami Horror (you should give a secret night time Barn show for these guys) > Tennis > King Krule > Ariel Pink (kinda think he'd be suited better in This or That) > Fatboy Slim > Pabllo Vittar > Travis Scott > Robyn > Hannah Diamond > Animal Collective (prolly won't be able to make it till the end lol) Sun: Kiwanuka > Highwomen > Lianne La Havas > Lana Del Rey > New Order > Paul McCartney (home run)
Thu: Ecco2k > Lido Pimienta > Rina Sawayama > Wand Fri: Lucy Dacus > Jacques Greene > Tom Misch > Low > Metronomy > Devo > Spiritualized > Rihanna > Megan Thee Stallion > Charli XCX (this is a very good day, so many of my favorites) Sat: La Femme > DJ Python > Kool & The Gang > Natalia Lafourcade > Toro y Moi > Kim Gordon > My Chemical Romance > Soulwax > Floating Points Sun: girl in red > Ja Rule & Ashanti > Mall Grab > Fleet Foxes > Pharrell > Jorja Smith > pack up and go home
This is so good in terms of the amount of quality acts. Poster is one of my favorites, I'm assuming Tristan didn't do it? lol

Jams:
Banned Ole Opry: Sturgill Simpson and his band celebrate the work of the country greats who had a rocky history with the Grand Ole Opry or were never invited to join. Setlist based on the work of Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Wanda Jackson, Tanya Tucker, Dwight Yoakam, and Hank Williams, who was kicked out months before his death at age 29. Guests will include Robert Earl Keen, Gillian Welch, Billy Strings, Valerie June, and Neko Case, the only living artist with a lifetime ban from the Opry. Originally scheduled to include the late Justin Townes Earle.
Wet Ass Superjam: Tracing the lineage of WAP. Hosted by DJ Spinderella, featuring Trina, Salt-n-Pepa, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, and Flo Milli. Special appearance by Cardi B. Maybe Margo Price does her cover idk.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
But mostly my fault for not going over my stuff yesterday, finally got poster/schedule finished so was going to let everyone else get theirs in before I threw it out

I think you can probably give Blood Orange a Which upgrade. He’s basically in the same slot he played in 2016.
there were like 50 people at his set in 2016, hard to see them upgrading him to Which after that.
This is the saddest thing I’ve seen all day. That was the year I was in Australia instead of at Roo and I think Blood Orange was probably the show I was most disappointed to be missing. It’s depressing to hear his set was sooo under attended.
