Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
ah yes, a 5th of our lineup which we put a lot of time into making both realistic and still somewhat interesting, will be entirely disregarded. thats what i love to hear.
if it makes you feel any better, you got a bunch of points from me for having Baauer
Yeah Baauer was on my shortlist of very realistic Bonnaroo EDM I actually like
(this shit is amazing but if this game is so much about realism it's not really that)
I genuinely desire to understand how this is being defined
Is it "I like this lineup, bonnaroo does not book lineups that I like, I award you no realism points"
Or is it "You failed to capture bonnaroo's typical diversity of genre and appeal to various age groups, and booked bands that bonnaroo would never even consider"
Because it feels like the first thing and about a million words have been written that I very much did not want to read about how it should be the second thing

Unless people have budgetary concerns or ticket selling concerns, there shouldn’t be a reason to say something isn’t realistic because it’s “too good”. If someone books an Inforoo lineup that won’t sell, that’s fine. But being too good shouldn’t affect realism. Realism and quality are two separate scores anyway.

i just gotta say, i will never understand the "i'm going into this festival with 0 intention of stepping foot inside The Other (or Sahara)" mindset. everyones lineup has some stuff worth checking out on it.

It shouldn’t even be the second thing because what Bonnaroo *would* book shouldn’t matter in a scenario where you’re handed the reins to try and improve their tepid lineups. The only realism that should matter is “could they book them if they really wanted to” IMO.

I've been to 9 Bonnaroo's. I've never seen any edm. There's always something else I want to see. I looked at every schedule here and there were only a couple times I went with something in the otner. I don't think you want me trying to judge that.

i get that, if its not your thing its not your thing. it is part of the game though, so i think its worth an hour of research just to see what you find enjoyable / tolerable.

I feel like a lot of it just wouldn't happen. Some of it is in the scheduling. This band wouldn't be in this spot. That's how I'm looking at realism. It's just one part of the game.
Already made updates to that schedule of ours above. (to Sat & Sun, added Flatbush LN!)
Path I'd take at our fest:
Thursday: The way this is scheduled I'd be able to see everything before the other opened. So I'd bounce back and forth, but my most anticipated sets in that block would be G Flip, Nasty Cherry & L47. then > beabadoobee > Ana Tijoux > Tkay Maizda > end of Hayden James > Orville Peck > end of Two Feet > SiR > Charlotte de Witte
Friday: The Soul Rebels > Jacob Banks > Black Pumas or Amy Shark... prob Black Pumas > Vera Blue > Beach Bunny > Barclay Crenshaw > J Balvin > HER > Third Eye Blind > Dua Lipa > Swae Lee > Pet Shop Boys > end of SOPHIE if I can > start of James Blake > Fever Ray
Saturday: Poolside > end of Mexican Institute of Sound > Natalie Prass > Young MA > Brett Dennen > LANY > Jungle Giants or Curren$y, depending on mood. > Normani > Diana Ross > start of Lykke Li > Jay Z > some of a-ha if I made it > Justice > FKJ > JB SJ
Toughest conflicts for me are on this day: Diana Ross vs Yves Tumor and Justice vs Flatbush Zombies LN
Sunday: Remi Wolf > Benjamin Booker > Soccer Mommy > Nick Murphy > Alanis Morissette > Jhené Aiko > LOLAWOLF > Jayda G > Chris Stapleton > Cudi > SJ > Fleetwood Mac

seeing 5 acts after your HLer is kinda wild
I mean, 2 of the 5 would be split sets, but yea. It'd be a fun night.
edit: also, i modelled the time slots off past bonnaroo schedules. Friday is based off 2015 when Kendrick/Deadmau5 dual headlined bc they did a LN What, which we're doing. And the rest I think I pulled from 2018/19 schedules. The only difference I made was adding a LN spot on Saturday before the JB superjam and pushed the SJ back like half an hour so I could have two LNs in each tent. And I think I started things a little later so that LNs wouldn't end at 3am.
Thur. Poridge Radio> Spellling> Opry> Tropical Fuck Storm> ?> Brutus (really good early, falls off late)
Fri. Hand Habits> Julia Jacklin> Marcus King Band, this band is from here, still weird to see them on something like this> Magpie Salute> > > Liam Gallagher> Angel Olsen> BOCC> Yob fuck yea> Billie> Sufjan> Caribou (on the smaller side for a Bonnaroo but I like all of it the last 3 is a great run to end the night)
Sat. I don't know Dream Wife but it sounds like something I'd like> Miya Folick> who the hell is Inhaler and why are they opening What?> Empress Of> Phantogram> Shovels & Rope representing SC twice on your lineup!> Moses Sumney> Raconteurs> Radiohead> GYBE (new favorite day and I would just be a puddle after Radiohead> GYBE)
Sun. Got excited there and was going on to the next, then realized I haven't done Sun. yet Marika Hackman> ?> Cherry Glazerr on an empty Which> Jay Som> Baths?> Vince Staples> Kamasi Washington> TWOD> Lennon-Claypool> Paul Simon (you booked a lot of shit I liked, idk if it's the winning fest other than that Sat. but damn good)
- Recommends for thursday; King Tuff, Léon, St. Panther and Anamaguchi - I honestly always thought Friday was our most stacked day out of the weekend tbh but yeah - yeah, I think you should like Dream Wife - Inhaler is the band of Bono's kid, they're pretty solid and are booming - wdym twice? They're only once on the schedule? - Stone Jack Jones are TN band you should probably like - Them into Cherry Glazerr is probably a very nice rock-y start of the day to shake yourself awake - Baths is cool ya, Rummy 500 could prob tell you more about them tho
