We were at this Chic set too, in the back. Pretty thin crowd, which was disappointing, but the people in front were having a blast. Sound was super loud in the back, probably because there weren't enough bodies to soak up the noise? (Obviously, I'm not an audio tech, so that's my crackpot theory.)
All that said, they were great. I was glad they went back to booking an undercard legend or two after abandoning that approach for a little while.
Was it ever discussed in the other threads that they were in fact going to bring back a new and improved arch in 2020?
I don't think anyone had heard that yet. I think we all had heard the old one was structurally unsound, they did a controlled burn of it, the electronic "squarch" was a last-minute fix -- but I don't think we had heard anything about the future.
Watching Chic now. Such a fun set. In the pit with a costume.
That was a great set but does anybody else remember that loud ass commercial they played on the main screen like the second after the set ended? What was up with that?
Haha. My sister (who goes to Roo with us) gifted us this exact sprinkler for our two daughters. This June, I hand-wrote out a "Bonnaroo" and taped it to the top during our backyard party (which was masked, socially distant, etc.) over Bonnaroo weekend. Terrible sprinkler, good memories.
Geeking to football and basketball but we will probably catch the 10 minute Denzel Curry piece and maybe the Beasties. Ima try to tune in to most of the new stuff tomorrow and Saturday.
