I initially wrote out a post and decided to delete it, but in the process I ended up looking up some charities that are still worth sharing. So I'll just leave them here.
I'd also like to highlight the work of the Institute of Global Homelessness as well as Keychange, an organization that fights for gender parity in the music industry.

100% of the money you donate Goes to providing mosquito nets for Africans. $2 is the cost of one net. That net lasts 3-4 years and protects 2 people. For every 600 nets, one child doesn’t die and 500-1000 cases are prevented. So if you have spare money you can literally put $1,200 towards saving a life.
Malaria kills 400,000 (mostly Africans I believe... could be wrong) each year and it was 3x that and growing before the nets were invented.
