I'm impressed with y'all who still have your elite 8 intact. I need to watch more college basketball. I think I got this if Texas wins the whole thing though. Not sure what happens if Duke goes all the way.
I went 23/32 in R64 which looks kinda brutal, but still good for T-3 place and one less win than first place, 14/16 of S16 still out there (Purdue and Arizona the exceptions) and all of my E8, so overall I'm in pretty good shape despite the upsets.
Purdue losing hopefully makes Kentucky's path a little clearer so I'll take that, for sure.
Purdue is the only one I have out so far from my E8 (but thank god don’t have them advancing to F4, and honestly I kept wavering on whether I thought they’d make it to elite eight or not because I know their recent history in the tourney! But got stupidly blinded by the 1-seed status I guess).
My S16 is 12/16 though :/ Arizona & Purdue of course but I also wanted to have fun with selecting a couple Cinderella runs, so I had Oral Robert’s & College of Charleston in til S16 on my bracket.
Funny thing is, it IS looking to be a good year for Cinderella wins - I just picked the wrong ones haha. I was foolishly out there opting for mere 12-seeds when I should’ve known to go for 15-seed Princeton & 16-seed FDU

It feels like... I'm finding out for the first time because I don't watch collegiate basketball, or at least haven't in years. I'm originally from Lexington. I'm sure everyone there + my momma is really happy. I told her I picked Providence yesterday over the phone and she was PISSED. Idk It's hard for me to care. I know Lexington and the surrounding area really cares... At one point in my life I was forced to care and forced to watch all the games while a roomful of adults with no hobbies screamed at that top of their lungs like the people on the screen could hear them. It's honestly kind of creepy and sad.
In 5th grade we had a March Madness project and we all had to do our brackets, plus a report on one of the teams in the tournament. That's literally insane. Why did we need to do that?

No overtime games in first round but 4 games were won by 2 points or less…and I missed on all four picks!
(On the plus side my final four pick Tennessee did squeak out a 3 point win, not that that does much for my confidence on their ability to go the distance.)

What is the deal with the Modelo commercial that just came on during the Duke v Tennessee game? They are making homemade tortillas and at the bottom it said “Do Not Attempt”. Do not attempt to what? Make delicious tortillas? So weird.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
