Doing more research on this crypto thing, but still don’t have much Bitcoin.
Do you guys have any resources that you’d recommend to learn more / research?
I would pretty much just go to coinmarketcap.com and read about any thing that catches your eye. Probably start with like top 5 or 10 in market cap. You'll learn about a lot of different projects and then hopefully be able to answer some questions about 1) how long you wanna be involved 2) and if you wanna even get involved beyond btc
Lots of ups and downs. And you know some of that stimulus money is coming in. Haha. I always said I'd love to swing trade all day, but I'm mostly a watcher. My brain isn't trained to compare fiats, big and alt-coins vs multiples of each other simultaneously. So I don't think I'd be good at it. Verox hit $1,170 a bit earlier today for its all time high. Their app information is supposed to be released in about a week which is in some way a partnership with Polka Dot. It's been a big win for my boy who hit it for 70x his buy-in. But he should have bought way more than he did. So should I have when I got in.

For sure! It’s been wild. I’m up a grand or so this week. Can’t complain about that!
Yeah, that's good. I'm probably up about 2500 this week. But it's all on blockchain-paper at the moment. I've tripled up since December (on paper including the 2 g I always try to hold in USD). We'll see how it goes. You looking at anything new? I'm watching Cake City a little. It's kind of expensive for an intro price (probably need to stop thinking in terms of dollars, but that's what i know). But if it's .15 ETH pre-sale, if they can list they say it would be at .5, that's easy money. SAVIX is interesting too. It's passive and proof-of-stake. And I don't understand all that shit that well except depending on a percentage someone holds, they can lock that stake/equity in based on the number of coins they hold to the total that could be in circulation. But allegedly you could potentially get 89% annual return for holding them. I need to read their white paper. But with Cake City, $285 (currently 0.15 ETH) would instantly multiply by 3.333Rx if it gets the list. That's $949/coin from $285. I'd like to triple up on something, but I'm not sold yet on that.

Really been following DOT and KSM and KAVA because I’ve been in on them for a while. Just got in on kava a couple weeks back, and thinking about going harder on what I have instead of getting into something new.
Fozzie always pulls some wild things I’ve never heard of and I follow him down those dark corridors 90% of the time.

LMAO honestly I’ve been looking at coins actually being used in the NFT, digital collectible, digital gaming, etc. spaces. I don’t know a ton about fintech, bio, etc., but I’ve seen the below being used and growing a lot the past few weeks:
WAXP - This is going up A LOT (it started out at $4 years ago and tanked, but now it’s being used for digital trading card series like Street Fighter, Garbage Pail Kids, Godzilla, etc.)
FLOW - The power behind NBA Topshot, THE digital trading/collectible platform right now. It’s also going to power the UFC version of Topshot, whatever they will call that.
SOUL - This one is behind Phantasma, an NFT platform primarily in gaming. It’s also a great platform to mint NFTs for cheap right now.
PPBLZ - Probably the most absurd of them all, this coin powers Pepemon, the NFT parody of Pokémon. What’s interesting about this one is there’s only 14k coins in circulation, and you need them to collect the Pepemon. Due to the low coin supply, it’s entirely possible this one goes really high if Pepemon gets more popular and the supply dries up. It’s gone up $200 in the past few weeks.
Of course...if NFTs go bust, these will be worthless! But even if the NFT bubble pops, I think the core technology/concept has lots of potential for future uses.
lol. No idea if fiat currencies will become worthless or obsolete if in fact we all make so much money that I can bust out a random Brand X [tm] reference with Algon, where an ordinary cup of drinking chocolate costs 8 billion lira. Haha. Not even top 4 song on Product, but a harbinger looking back to the hyperinflation of late 1970’s Italy.

ADA had been getting some serious hype over the last couple weeks, coinbase pro just announced it's finally going to be listed there soon, might be interested in it...anyone here have a take on it?

I feel like the listing on CBPro won't do as much as people think. It's already gone up 20% since the announcement and not to mention it was just .35 in January. I'm always hesitant when things are at their all time high. Also a listing on CBPro also means everyone that had been holding it on platforms like binance has a much easier way to sell the coin.
But I will say the project is great and it definitely has a future. I just don't think we're gonna see a 100% gain as a result of the CBPro listing like some people are suggesting.

Also I bet a lot of people using coinbase pro also use binance. Think the real boom would come from regular coinbase. But even then ADA is already #3 in market cap and has done so much movement already. It's just hard to fathom it will keep going parabolic

I'm only on CBpro so the availability is intriguing. I'm not dabbling too much in alt coins, have a small portion in XLM and ALGO, but will be keeping my eye on ADA as well.
Interesting thread about how most of the art NFT tokens don't point to the art itself but actually to a json file or hash that then points to where the art is being hosted. So if the site that you bought your NFT from goes away the art you own probably goes away with it. Then again the art you bought was intangible so maybe you never owned anything in the first place or maybe since it's intangible in the first place you always own it even if it no longer exists.

Consider moving your Algo to normal coinbase (free transfer) to stake it

Anyone grab ANKR? It’s up 50% today. I got it for just under 0.13 so I’m late to the game. But I bought a few to see what’s up. Often coins on Coinbase will go for that dollar. I also bought some ETH in case I decide to get SAVIX before it lists. Hoping to make a couple thou on these moves if I’m lucky.
Fn S. My boy who told me wait until next week to get SAVIX didn't factor that bots could buy in before the end of ICO period and take all the coins. So what was $36.00 last night that I was told not to buy until early next week is now $78 today. :/
Ugh with a big miss at the $1k ETH I had sitting on the side to buy in. I'd have my cash back today and would be holding free SAVIX. I can't be mad at him since he got me the VRX which has gone up 13x since I went in on that. But now I'm left hoping that Ankr will go up to $10. I'll move back to New Orleans and buy a downtown condo if that happens. Bah!
Double ***k. That $1k would now be almost $2,700 since it's hit $100. AHHHHHHHHHHHH
