It actually has a lot to do with whipping up anti-Chinese sentiment in the United States and furthering U.S. political aims. That's why you know about it and are worried about it. And similarly, you are using it as an example of why people should hate China, who you're currently mad at because they might affect you financially.
Between this and our Afghanistan discussion, you've spent the better part of your posts claiming what I think and what I've said, all of which have been inaccurate. I'm not sitting here saying you think about something because of X, or that you have said something when you demonstrably haven't, so I'd appreciate the same from you.
I've read about the Uyghur genocide in NY Times, BBC, the Guardian, etc. I've read reports from independent journalists and people who've managed to escape. Genocide is evil, full-stop. If I have to choose between the U.S. and China, I'm choosing the U.S. literally every time. The U.S. isn't perfect, far from it. But we're not rounding up a group of people based on their religion, harvesting their organs, enslaving them, and attempting to eradicate them.
I NEVER said people should hate China. Not once. I said fuck the CCP, the Chinese Communist Party. The party that orchestrates aforementioned genocide. The party that will "disappear" someone for speaking negatively about the party or its leaders. The party that controls its citizens lives.
I'm mad at the CCP for genocide. Every day. So, when I see yet another reason why the CCP can go fuck right off, I'll chime in and say it. It just so happened to be because of this fool's errand of banning crypto. If the CCP had announced they were banning all plant-based foods, I'd hop over to the food thread and say, "Fuck the CCP." I have friends, family who are Chinese. Chinese culture has impacted my life in ways I can't ever express enough gratitude for. But the CCP is evil. Fuck the CCP.

Interestingly, that 5/21 date coincides nicely with AMC’s previous monster run up, so I find it interesting that this “new” China Crypto announcement comes out during the week where China is actively collapsing one of their market bubbles (hello Evergrande).

I have a bachelor party weekend trip to Scottsdale, AZ in February. We are going to the Waste Management Open golf tournament and play a round at a nice course down there, plus some dinners and an Airbnb. With air travel probably cost me around $1000.
So I gained about $250 on some doge a few months back and decided I would put it all on shiba inu and let it HODL until February in hopes that it would pay for some or all of my trip.
After the past month and the big gains this weekend, it’s now up to $850.. this happened a lot faster than I expected.

Shiba huh? I grabbed a couple million of them for 50.00 a couple weeks back. It’s more than tripled. I saw some article that referenced it was up some 46 million % in some recent period. As usual I’ll probably pull my fifty out of it goes up to 300.00 or so and let the rest ride. Then again, it’s only 50.00 and you’d hate to think that decimal moves 3 or 4 places. :/

I’ve been trying to read and keep up on what they are doing (I’m very much not an expert in crypto) but it sounds like what they are building will basically allow anyone to go in and create NFTs for virtually no gas-fees since it’s all on L2. The rumor mill says an official announcement should be coming before the year is out (probably before Christmas).
AMC’s Spider-Man NFT’s look like a big success and I’d expect to see more NFT’s attached to movie tickets (Hello Marvel) in 2022.
Also, GameStop’s NFT marketplace appears close to an official launch as they started accepting applications for individuals to become creators on the GameStop NFT Marketplace.

No. Everything/all that shit has been overvalued for a while. It’s all buy opportunities if you have cash which I don’t. We know at least how high some of the shit can go. You just don’t know when it’s getting back up to x. But it will. I tried to buy a few hundred bucks more of Chainlink a couple weeks back if it would have got to 15. Maybe I can scrounge a couple hundred this go round.
