So there's a few scenarios here. 1) Jortles is inspector, we take out potent today, he gets whacked overnight, we exile rummy tomorrow. 2) Jortles is inspector, we exile him today, find out thanks to role reveals he is not mafia, exile rummy tomorrow. 3) Jortles is Mafia, we take him out today, and find out thanks to role reveals. 4) Jortles is Mafia, we let him live until day 3 but take him out then. 5) Jortles is inspector but Mafia lets him live overnight because they're cocky?
Since 5 is incredibly unlikely to happen, I'm thinking we exile him today anyway? Idk

holy shit wait yes i just realized that this move by Jorts is even cockier/dumber than i thought--if he's real inspector, he'd be whacked tonight but normally town would never want to exile someone who has revealed d1 because they get more info from them being whacked (a confirmation that they were truthing, except for that one time maf self whacked lol)... but this time, with role reveals, that shifts the game. If we exile Jostles here, we know right away his role and there's no real risk in exiling him if he is truthing (he isn't) because he'd be whacked overnight if real inspector, but by exiling him, we get his role CONFIRMED.
If real inspector has a different name besides Jorts, there is reason to consider coming out... I definitely understand if they want to wait to try and learn the third but at the same time, if mafia gets their whack right tonight, town is rly screwed

only reason i said that is because i figure maf must have a solid idea of who real inspector is, or they wouldn't pull this shit.... but i might be wrong, it is jostles after all, they may just be having a wild time with it for funsies

Has anyone considered the possibility that both jortles and potent are Mafia? I don't feel like reading the entire thread right this minute, but I'm wondering if it's a possibility
Part of me wants to lean town on Teddy and Dan for being the ones to mention how it does in fact make most sense to exile Jostles here, but I also know full well that it is very possible and maybe even likely that one of them is his teammate and distancing hard here, as has been pre planned in their Maf Talks

But also, y'all, we did recently talk about the game where mafia self-whacked... I absolutely wouldn't put it past Jorts and Co to do that here, even though it would be a short lived ruse given that I'd be revealed as town shortly thereafter if then exiled D2

I thought of a good 4d chess strategy for mafia that Jortles could potentially be trying
Mafia Jortles fakes reveal as inspector since he's probably gonna die anyway. He does this so he can survive day 1 and then whack himself. He whacks himself so there's no role reveal and then we waste a day on rummy. Sure we will find out he's lying once rummy is confirmed town but then we've wasted a day. Real inspector could also be baited to come out and then they would whack them n2

It’s really a matter of who’s role do I want confirmed more, yours or potents. If potent is maf I feel a lot better figuring that out rather than hearing self whack conspiracies the rest of the game.

But nah, that'd be rly dumb if we were on the same team, since town is bound to exile me tomorrow after Jostles self-whacks (so as to avoid role reveal/make town believe he was truthing throughout D2), so we'd be down two team members going into D3, and idk why a maf team would choose that path for themselves
