Wolf Alice is good. Not much else that I’m super into yet. I actually like Slayyyter and Lil Durk x Lil Baby
You’ll like that Bossk album. It’s being billed as “post-everything” but it’s a post-metal album. Mostly instrumental but special vocals on a few tracks. It’s heavy. It’s emotional. It’s really good.

Yesssss bitch. It's easy frontrunner for June for me. Love those guys.

Should note Sam Marsh isn’t on this as he moved to LA and got sick(?). They recruited the singers of Cult of Luna and Palm Reader to fill in for a few tracks. Dunno what this means for normal Bossk day to day but they made good choices.

It’s a fantastic album to listen to while playing Demon Souls, too.
Haven't seen a lot of talk about the new Me Rex album - it's 52 songs, all of which are ~30 seconds long, designed to be listened to in any order. It's an interesting experiment and it works (and IMO it's better than the EPs the band put out a while back) but be prepared to hear the same piano chords over and over again lol.
What's so special about the new Tyler cause.. I don't seem to get it apparently. The neo-soul and jazz rap-instrumentals are okay at best, the production is more slick than Igor but that probably fits the context better. The lyricism feels wonky, but there's some funny, clever lines in there but not a lot that feel memorable in comparison to his previous work. The features are great tho, really compliment him while I absolutely despise some of the ad-libs thrown in songs by DJ Drama lmao. Not that he shoe'd this one in but compared to Flower Boy and Igor, this def feels like a massive step down, to me atleast.

It’s OK. Don’t think it’s a good as his last release. There are some standout tracks on there, but it also just loses me at times. That’s pretty par for the course for Tyler with me, though.

I've kinda gone on elsewhere about why I really enjoy the DJ Drama angle tied into the lyrical themes throughout the album, but overall I would just say I think the album is consistently interesting. Almost every song has something about it that makes me not want to skip. Its the only rap album I've cared about at all since RTJ4.
I think Corso, Massa, Lumber Jack, and Sweet / I Thought You Wanted to Dance are major highlights of the year. Lemonhead and Juggernaut are very forgettable / I may never listen to them again. Wilshire is not going to keep me interested for 8 minutes as time goes on. And then I actually enjoy the rest. I have it at like 8.25/10. Not as great as Igor but I see myself returning to it quite a bit.
It could also be that I haven't been excited about any new music in 2021 so I was just waiting for an album to snatch my attention, which this one did.
