The new Viagra Boys album is mad decent. I think I still prefer Street Worms, but Wellfare Jazz still has some quality singles and a follow up to "Best In Show" that the world didn't know it wanted. Also, there is a John Prine cover.

Posted this over in album of the month too because they're my two front runners so far for January but both Beach Bunny and Arca put out great EP's in the last few weeks. Beach Bunny put out Blame Game which is super fun and pop rocky in a vein that reminds me a lot of Best Coast. Arca's EP is called Madre and sounds like what I imagine a Sigur Ros Venezuelan mass would sound like.

It's happening! Might just be the vocals, but it feels smoother than their other stuff. Impressed there isn't a bigger shift in drums since they went from drum machines to a live drummer.
