The school the SEC probably most wants to add after UT is UNC, but UNC would want to drag Duke along too.
I think it would be Clemson, obviously. We’re an SEC school stuck in the ACC.
North Carolina has twice as many people in it as South Carolina and is the ninth-most populous state in the US. I think their priority is probably expanding into that market. This was the case back when they added A&M and Mizzou, anyway.
lets just get rid of conferences all together and the NCAA for that matter. Go with a soccer pyramid style system, where the 20 top teams in the country are in the first division. Then the next 20 best teams are in D2 and so on. Then have promotion and relegation based on performance. I know it would never happen cause conferences wouldn't allow it and rivalry games and bowl money and whatnot. Plus it would be so terrible if you only played against teams with a generally even talent level and never any cupcakes.

1. I'd be more concerned about the high level of roster turnover from year in year out, you never know how well recruiting will go from year to year.
2. Can allow an extra week or two for rivalry games between divisions. This wouldn't be for shit like Alabama v. South Delaware State. Let's say Oregon is on Tier 1 and Oregon State is on Tier 2 - that'll be your off tier rivalry game. Make it based on historical regional rivalries and no more than a tier or two of separation.
3. There's already bowl games between lower conference schools. Troy vs. North Carolina Tech in the Chowdaheadz T-shirt Bowl already is a thing

My predictions: Texas and Oklahoma = SEC Kansas and Iowa State = Big 10 West Virginia = ACC Oklahoma St, K-State = Pac 12 TCU, Baylor, Texas Tech = American
TCU and Baylor are too good at football (and Baylor basketball) to get left out like that, I think.
1. It's probably in the American's best interest to go on the aggressive and recruit Big 12 schools. They want to be on the level of the Power 5? Now's their chance to be a Power 5 conference.
2. The Pac 12, Big 10, and SEC don't have religious schools. I can't see any of them taking Baylor or TCU just because they're good at football. But the American will take them.

I could see the B10 going for TCU if it came to it. They'd get a foothold in the Dallas TV market/Texas at large and I don't think being a "religious" school is as big a barrier as you think it is.
There's a certain school in South Bend the B10 is salivating over.
There’s your answer. Clemson is already competing on their level. Now imagine Clemson with more money and the “they don’t play in the SEC” propaganda against them.
I mean there shouldn't be more than 8, and even that is pushing it IMO.
8 leagues, 8 teams per league? We already have 4. Need 4 more people.
Why cap it at 8 teams per league? We can make it 12 or 15 and really make this shit sing. I'm hype to get a little bit of Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo in this super conference.

I thought that’s what you were saying. I’m open to more. Let’s go with 12 team leagues.
