Good morning Pablo. I'll take the Saints if it will help the process. What are we doing a couple rounds mock draft?
Yeah at least a couple rounds, but maybe more. Just to get an idea of what to expect in the real deal. It will be a week or two before we start probably, in case there are any more major trades in the meantime.
Is there an AFC team you want as well? We're probably going to double up.

So since Ray Lewis obstructed justice twenty years ago Deshaun Watson can sexually molest all the masseuses he wants?
I'm just not hearing anything about a suspension or any sort of punishment at all yet and it definitely seems like something that should be on the table.

You really like to jump to wild and incorrect conclusions.

My point is that the Ray Lewis situation is irrelevant. He also didn't "kill a guy". He was with a couple guys who got in a fight and killed two men, who a jury later failed to convict/acquitted of murder. Then he committed obstruction of justice.
That's not relevant to the question of will Deshaun Watson be suspended, which I think you and I are similarly cynical about happening, anyway.
You don't need to make this personal toward me, dude.

Good point. What are we doing? I just wanted to make sure that I had the Bills.
I think we should mock like three rounds, so that people can get a feel for what to look for in the real draft at the end of the month. I think waiting until the Monday or Tuesday before the real draft (draft starts Thursday the 29th) so that people can do a little research on team needs and we can see if any more blockbuster trades are going to alter the draft order before we start would be good. Obviously there will be trades during the draft, but not much to be done about that.
Everyone will have their favorite team and a team from the opposite conference to GM for. There are still a handful of NFC teams to choose from. Idk if spent is gonna be around to draft for the Bucs yet but I'm just guessing he would want to. Any other Bucs fans around here?
Once the roster is full I'll make it its own thread. Also, people can start considering trades if they want, but I think they should be voided and replaced by real trades involving those picks if they happen.
if he doesn't get charged and go to prison I'd expect a full season suspension and that's probably it.
he's a first time offender so not sure what the rules are re the cba idk if they could do much more
doubt he gets blackballed, and I think the vick thing is a good barometer of that. people were LIVID about the dogs, in a way people frankly aren't about this unfortunately.
if they can't trade him I assume the Texans will try to get as much money back on the contract as they can and cut him

Do you think he'll be suspended or not?
Ray Lewis, Big Ben, Josh Gordon, Vick, and on and on. If you are talented enough, the NFL has proven that you will not become persona non grata, regardless of what you actually did. A player might nab a suspension, lose some sponsors, etc. but his career will continue. Personally, I doubt Watson plays in 2021, whether by his choice or not, but he’ll most likely be starting elsewhere in 2022.
Shouldn't Deshaun be persona non grata? He's been accused of sexual assault by 22 women. That's a lot of women. Sexual assault.
But it's the NFL so they'll make something pink and call it a day.
There is no way Lurie should think this is a good idea. You get one big chance at giving somebody another shot in the league and it was used on Vick. Plus you had a highly respected head coach and staff at the time. No way in hell should they think Sirriani can handle what will come with having Watson on the roster, especially in that city. If they had Marvin Lewis or somebody along those lines that has a reputation of making sure problematic players dont mess up again then it seems reasonable to want to do it. Like everyones been joking about Pittsburgh, theyre the kind of franchise that could handle it and Mike Tomlin doesnt fuck around. But I dont want this to engulf the team and a lot has changed since Vick returned. This is the kind of thing Washington would do but Snyder has been in image repair mode for a couple years now and I doubt they wanna go backwards. You dont even know how players will/have react to it if he makes it out if this. Theyre already weirded out by whats come up so you figure they want nothing to do with him.
I would bet on Belichick getting him for chump change if they dont draft a qb this draft though.
