LA never should have had two teams in the first place. Realistically, the Raiders should of went to LA and the Rams/Chargers should of gone to Vegas. But Kroenke is a piece of shit.
The Chargers were better off staying in SD, or even moving to STL. Wouldn't be surprised if they moved again.
Haha. I wonder what happens with the division. Loomis said he's not blowing up the roster, so if we can get some consistent QB play, we might be okay. You guys still have a strong roster, and the Falcons are better on paper than what their record was - but they seem to have perennially underachieved since the Patriots castrated them. I don't think the Panthers are any better than they have been the last couple of years.
I think the division games are the easiest on the schedule next year. We still have a solid roster as do the Saints. It's all going to come down to QB I think.
I agree though you never really know from year to year what's going to happen until it does.
We both play the NFC West (Seattle, San Francisco, Arizona, Rams), and we both play the AFC North (Bengals, Ravens, Steelers, Browns). AFC North is a notoriously tricky division for the Saints because we were never built to compete in that division. As you know the NFC South over the last 15 or so years has been built on skill positions and quarterback play. The Browns and Ravens always seem to give us fits.
The additional games based on your first and our second place finishes are:
Chargers never stood a chance at getting new fans. LA being a mostly Raider city, you have better luck converting Raider fans into Rams fans. Raiders fans just naturally hate the Chargers as divisional rivals. Chargers should have never came here, no one wanted them, the mayor didn't even want them. They only came so they didn't have to pay for their own new stadium.
I really wish the Chargers went to Vegas as a tourist attraction and the Raiders came back to LA. I personally don't have anything against the Chargers but I've seen how their fan base was in San Diego and it wasn't much better than it is now. Kind of like the Clippers to where they really should have just left the state.
They have Herbert going for them, but even then, I think that'll attract the neutral fan to Chargers games to watch Herbert, but not root for the Chargers themselves.
i mean, the Rams don't really have fans either
Lets also remember there are a lot of Dallas fans in LA along with the Raider fanbase. Next season the Rams host Dallas and Buffalo. Bills mafia took over last time they were in La.
I dont think the Chargers can move anyway with their lease. La is still gonna be a hotspot for a bit since visiting fans like the appeal of coming to LA for a game and plenty of tickets floating around. Its one of the easiest day trips for Sf, Vegas, Phoenix even Seattle or Denver if you fly in Sunday morning and take an 8pm flight back after a 1pm game. Whenever the Rams bubble bursts its going to be even easier to go to a game, except for parking that is.

I'm thinking of running a super bowl squares pool if I get enough interest (from friends IRL and including you weirdos). If you'd have interest in a square, two, or five (or whatever number) at $10 each, let me know.

The concept of flying in and out on a game day sounds surreal. Don't people tailgate for hours before and after the games? Or is this one of those urban stadiums where there's no tailgating? Like, I live in Buffalo and I'm leaving at 8AM for a game and not getting home until around 7 or 8 and I'm not part of a big tailgate or anything.
I personally think the Rams have a solid fan base in LA. It's unrealistic to expect them to have the presence of Raiders fans in LA, that will never happen because the Raiders are basically embedded into the culture of LA. And then you have teams like the 9ers, Cowboys who also have a strong presence in LA.
Compare Chargers games, every game feels like an away game no matter who they're playing. They can be playing a random team like the Vikings and it'll be a split crowd. For Rams games, it only feels that way when they play teams who already had a strong presence in LA before the Rams returned (9ers, Cowboys, Raiders etc.). Otherwise their home games feel like home games. Even last night, compare the crowd to the Week 18 crowd and there was a big difference. It was about a 50/50 split as opposed to an overwhelming majority of 9er fans in Week 18. The Rams are fine imo and will continue to grow. Chargers are doomed.

Yeah, I'd pick up 3 or so if you can get it together.

It’s not that hard, you’ll get more fans if you win Super Bowls
If the Rams win the Super Bowl then everyones going to want them to win it every year or else they arent doing whats expected of them. Right now theyve leveraged everything they had to get to this game because its here and not somewhere else. That was Kroenkes goal cause he spent so much money on the stadium and wants the payoff that goes with it. When the crash comes, it aint gonna be pretty. Same will go for The Clippers if they arent able to do anything with the players they have and a shiny new arena thats coming down the street from Sofi.
Fuck you p-a Rams. Smart move to not play us, but I hope the Bengals win. It’s not that I hate all the Rams players, it’s the franchise. Fuck them win or lose. It would be pretty badass for Burrow to get that win and be on top so soon again. I’m not really much of an LSU fan, but almost anyone had to appreciate that season. And he was always rooted and never seemed to be a dick which I also appreciated. That’s a good team. But it’s the super bowl and you really don’t know what’s going to happen. Rams gambled for what maybe (?) could be a short window. They should be tough. And based on at least from divisional weekend until now, a lot of games have been close and even seeing some OT. No matter what, I don’t have much of a feel on it. I know someone who got Bengals to win the Super Bowl at +1600 in early December. I’m 100% for the Bengals, but ?

my Cincinnati Bengals will win because the Rams rush defense isn't as good as you'd think it would be and Mixon is a monster. they can't double both Higgins and chase but one will probably be and Mixon should be able to get yards on an over aggressive rams front 7

The Clippers could 3 peat and still not make a dent in the LA fan base lol. Really surprised that Balmer didn't decide to move them. I guess secondary LA money is still more than Seattle?
But surprisingly there ARE a lot of Clipper fans relatively speaking, it's just 100x less than the Lakers. Like I'm confident there's more Clips fans in the world than Sacramento fans

Ramsey will lock down one of them, so they'll be no need to double.
