I just feel like without Deshaun, this team is a #1 pick team. we could have the cream of the 2022 crop, guys who will have full season of tape and stats, and we take the 5th qb who started 11 games over 2 years

Ya’ll have been stuck in trying to replicate the Pats for almost a decade thats why its like that.

They're roughly the same in terms of draft stock and I think either you take a shot on a QB in the third or you don't. Pick seems fine to me. It's like the Broncos taking Drew Lock. The Texans just need to be smart enough to cut bait in a year if Mills sucks ass.

Then you still possibly can?
probably, and there's definitely not a trevor there at #1, but I'd rather build w the 3rd. at the 4th there's a much stronger BPA value, but I would've rather grabbed some D guys w both

I was switching between espn and nfl network. Rick Eisen was stating the obvious, that the handwriting is on the wall. Seems like y’all should go with Taylor maybe? I kind of wanted us to take Mills, but we have immediate needs if we are going to try to get something out of our roster in the first year or two of the post Drew Brees era. Still it seems like a transitional move. It’s only a third round pick - certainly valuable. But it’s not that much of a roll of the dice to start working the stable. I love Watson as a player but the search for his replacement is on.

god I can't imagine being a Texans fan rn. At least terrible teams usually get some good picks for the future, but BOB flat out destroyed this franchise for 3 years minimum.

were in an ok spot capital wise next year I think. w/o the watson thing there's potential we couldve really been in a great futures position.
but I'd rather have Mayock and Gruden calling shots than what we have. almost happy we don't have the assets to do any more damage.

will never wrap my head around that Hopkins trade. It basically saved the Cardinals cap wise bc DJ would've cost so much money to cut.
