They gave a lot of props to the defense on that, but it didn't seem like the guy hit the ball that hard. Maybe it was a hit in just the right spot though.

I play a game called Pigskin Mania (www.pigskinmania.net). You pick 5 games (2 college, 2 NFL, 1 wildcard) against the spread per week (spreads are set Thursday morning, they don't move until kickoff like real betting). You get a point for each correct pick. One of your 5 picks you can designate as the "lock", which is worth .5 if you get it, and -.5 if you miss. My lock this week was Cincinnati -3.5 (at Indiana). There's a Pigskin Special, which if you pick right is .5 bonus and miss is -.5. This week it was Penn St -5.5, which I nailed.
It's $60 to play for the year. A "perfect week" - 6 pts - wins you $60. This is my third season, I've never had a perfect week, so I'm at something like 43 weeks straight without a perfecto. They log perfect weekless streaks and one of my buddies is top 10, it's been like 120 weeks for him or something.
Anyway, I was 4 for 4 with my lock and the special for 5 points heading into SNF, where I had the Chiefs as my second NFL pick (-3.5). Womp, womp...

Chargers have some really great personnel and everyone seems to have good chemistry with one another. But these penalties have been killing us badly - need first year head coach to instill some discipline. Herbert has also looked a little shaky to start the year. He can still make all the throws he could last year, but he is forcing it a bit more and it is resulting in turnovers. Luckily, KC defense looks like Swiss cheese, so hopefully we can protect the QB and give Herbie some confidence with a W.
Thought Herbert looked good I heard (sorry Jortles) it was something like 120 yards and two TDs lost to penalties.
As bad as Philly yesterday losing 2 td’s on not executing. Raegor having his heel out on the 35 yard td catch and wasting the 90 yarder from Quez. Philly shouldve won the game comfortably but they devolved into some stupid shit and penalties in key situations.

Gonna have to get fans back in the stands too. It was a Cowboys home game yesterday at Sofi. My friend sent me a video at the start of the game and it was wall to wall Dallas jerseys.
So it seems like there is a non zero chance that the Texans pay Watson for his whole deal, and he never plays a snap in the NFL during that time
I highly doubt that. Their first out is in 2024, and he's on a great deal given what quarterbacks are getting now.
my gut says that hes not gonna get convicted in the criminal case but will have a massive settlement on the civil case that is enough for the general public to think he did it. I have no idea what a team does with that except keep him on the bench like the Dodgers did for Bauer.

Some MLB team will trade for Bauer if it comes to that. The Dodgers haven't sat him for four years, that story is just getting started. Ben Roethlisberger has two rape allegations that he got a six-game ban for, later reduced to four. People don't really talk about that anymore. I'd like to think things have changed and Deshaun will get blackballed from the league, but I doubt it. He didn't do anything too unforgivable like kneel during a national anthem.

I re-looked into the Aaron Hernandez thing and the Pats were on the hook through the whole trial, the NFLPA fought them getting out of the contract, and then I think finally they got like a cap credit after his conviction, but it was years.
think the union will also fight this, because regardless of guilt, I'm sure there's a lot of paranoia among the players about how connected the owners are, and if they don't fight those things it opens up innocent players getting cut eventually

Still unbelievable to me that Kap never played another snap in the NFL
I mean shit the whole thing initially came off so strange and almost like it was a setup, which it was way more clear w Aaron, so yeah, I doubt we get any sort of relief early
he'll probably be traded for some really low-ball offer

Lions at +400 are the biggest dog they took, so a big reason why the payout is so high, and that makes it pretty tricky to hedge, as well. Packers are at -550. It's possible the book offers a cash out option.
