I didn't see anyone post this, but Peter King had some info on Monday about the 17th game in 2021. Basically, it will be AFC vs. NFC from the schedule two years prior, with teams meeting based on their place in the standings from last year. Example he gave was in 2019, the NFC North played the AFC West. In 2020, the Chiefs won the AFCW, Packers NFCN. Thus, in 2021, the extra game will be Packers at Chiefs. For competitive balance purposes, that game will be at AFC stadiums in odd years and NFC stadiums in even years.
It's not a bad way to do it, though I like my "permanent rivals" idea better, if only for Giants/Jets, Chargers/Rams, Ravens/WFT, Steelers/Eagles, Dolphins/Bucs, Jags/Falcons, Bears/Colts, and other geographical rivals to play every year.

would like that but probably not enough teams to make it work perfectly and then you'd have instances were they play twice a year

Big Ben agreed to a new contract for 2021 today, sources say for $14 million, saving $15 million on the cap. With McDonald and Pouncey retiring, and the cap looking like it will be higher than $180 million (maybe 185-187), the bad cap situation has been alleviated for 2021 pretty well.
Just upset that my team still employs a rapist. Hopefully this is the last year of that.
I saw somewhere today that they'll have the #1 hardest SoS for next year so that's good for them that he didn't.
I wonder if the team was just like dude, if you leave now we have no other option
AFC West/NFC North, plus the Bills and Titans in games vs other division winners, and a 17th game against Seattle if the PK plan is to be believed. At Bills, at Packers, at Chiefs, at everyone's darling Chargers, not to mention home and home with Ravens and Browns...
"It’s one thing for slappies like me to spitball about a potential Deshaun Watson for Kyler Murray trade. It’s another for John McClain of the Houston Chronicle to suggest it."
oof idk they may have lost me in the first paragraph
hype alone could've made tua an option, lol hell I'd have put darnold over stid for certain
Yeah, Tua was the one that had all of the hype. Allen had taken a step but not a large one and it would be silly to project the season he ended up having. Darnold's been underwhelming for such a high draft pick so I could at least theoretically understand putting the promise of Stidham ahead of him. But the non-homer take should be Tua.

Robinson got the tag from Chicago and Godwin from Bucs. Golladay did not from Detroit, which is a little bit of a surprise. Neither Chris Carson nor Hunter Henry were tagged by their respective teams, which were considerations. Dolphins and Colts could be landing spots for Kenny, as well as Jax.
