Just for the record, I don't literally have less than $500 to my name lol. It's just that a $20 bet at my income level is a friendly wager between rival fanbases, but a $500 bet is degenerate gambling my wife would definitely notice, win or lose
Eh, how about this. If the Saints win, I'll send $20 to a place down in NOLA or Pensacola that you like. Just lmk.
If you're down for a side bet, my friend Andrea (used to be on the board a bunch of years ago) used to volunteer for a rescue place in Nashville called Proverbs 12 10 - and fosters a dog for them still. Both the Pats and Saints play the Titans this year. If Tennessee beats either team, you/I pay up $12.10 to that group.
Fair and deal on Saints vs. Pats this week*. And I'll take the bet vs. Titans for the rescue place but you'll have to remind me in mid-November so I don't forget between now and then. Looks like we both play them in November. If the Patriots win and you would prefer me to send the $20.00 to Proverbs 12 10, I can do that too.
* I don't watch the show but it won't be Pitbulls and Parolees. haha . More likely to be the Louisiana Boxer Rescue or something like that.
Still doing LA Boxer Rescue?
Also - I picked the Saints in my pick'em league. Only me and the girl who runs the league picked the Saints.

That no call on the hit on Davante was BS but there’s zero reason he should still be in the game if they have a “real” concussion protocol. I’ve watched MMA for 25 years and know what someone looks like when they are unconscious…dude was out for at least 30 seconds.

Maybe had the wind knocked out?
On live Tv they zoomed into his body face down and his eyes where the classic open but vacant look you get when you are knocked out. And he was literally motionless on the ground for a bit.
The interesting thing that the booth announcer ref guy said is that the NFL recently moved the location of the back judge? And in the old position would have been in front of the play and wouldn’t have missed the illegal hit, but because they moved the position of that ref, players are now in the way on deep plays that can cause them to not see things.
Happy to see Stafford balling out on a competitive team.
Me too. My number 1 SB choice is Sammy D and my Panthers but I would also love to see Stafford win it all. I have a soft spot for QB's who suffered on horrible teams.

I heard the part about ref positioning leading to the no call. Hopefully the NFL looks at that after last night and figures something out bc it was such an obvious penalty on a top tier player. Nobody wins if guys like that start getting hurt.
