Squeezed in a couple more Athens Rise Up picks. Some being Major Organ and the Adding Machine which is an Elephant 6 collective. No one quite knows whose in it but Jeff Magnum for sure is.
and then Pylon, who no one cares about outside of Athens
Is Jacob Tranter considered an Athens rise up pick?

He can’t even go into a grocery store without getting kicked out so I don’t think so

True. I saw him at a grocery store in Athens a few years back. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
does RZA really need a repick if he's not even getting a set? just have him for So Appalled
You don't have to repick but it sounds like he's not eligible. I get your point but we don't really have a "just in a superjam" exception for picks. That could get out of hand pretty quickly, I'd imagine.

I argued for a superjam/ guest appearance exception a few drafts back and basically got told to take a hike

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
if by cancelled you mean one of the members was found to have a friend who tweeted some racist shit and then the member disavowed it, sure. They're "cancelled".
See. You typed Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. But I think you meant to type The Black Parade
so the idea for the Proving Grounds would be that it's kind of like a time travel thing, to where you get transported to an era when the band is first blowing up to the mainstream. They're young, hungry, and ready to prove their worth to the world. So like, Black Parade is arguably better than 3 Cheers, but 3 Cheers was their first real big one. Lights and Sounds was better than Ocean Avenue, but I know damn well which was their breakout.

Good idea but I’d use Mother’s Milk for RHCP, frankly.

Mother's Milk was the first step for the band in achieving international success and, according to Amy Hanson of AllMusic, "turned the tide and transformed the band from underground funk-rocking rappers to mainstream bad boys with seemingly very little effort."
Like obviously do what you want, but if you want the young/hungry/first success angle, it’s MM.
Agree here. To use a sports analogy, MM was like them making the playoffs for the first time. BSSM was them winning the Super Bowl.
They had a bit of a rep coming out of Uplift Mofo Party Plan but Higher Ground and Knock Me Down got them a lot of play on MTV and, in my memory at least, MSSM was basically an instantly massive record because of their breakout success on MM.
I’m one of the bigger RHCP apologists on the board and I get why people don’t care for them/don’t draft them. They require headlining and when you can pick someone rarer/cooler/you like more and be more likely to win you’re gonna do it
