I haven't followed any of the previous drafts, or at least not in the last couple years. I know I did a hip hop draft and an album draft a few years ago.

Maybe I should read up on some recent stuff.
I would say it’s only as time consuming as much as you care about it and want to research picks. Post round 30 you’re gonna have to start digging and the last 10 kinda suck when everything’s gone
the first draft and stadium are literally the only times I've done well
every other time it's pretty much been a first round exit bc I'm not the best at doing big lineups
yet I keep trying bc this is fun lmao
I think infinity is moving away from big lineups. Gocats was massive last time and finished middle of the pack.
looking back I made a ton of mistakes that draft I’m not sure it was exclusively because it was big. I think I finished with like 8 cancelled artists including the big joker of Michael Jackson, plus took a ton of shit that no one really cared about like a jam stage
So if we're planning on starting Tuesday, do we get the draft order tomorrow? I'm assuming we'll get the 25 slots filled fairly quickly tomorrow morning (17 taken already), and it'd be nice to have a bit of time to strategize and/or trade
As soon as our participants are locked in I'll run the order.
and set proxies if you don't. It's almost never faster than two picks a day. Gonna go ahead and volunteer to make a poster for anyone who needs it, if that's the thing keeping you from playing
To clarify, it's rare that an individual drafter would have more than two picks a day but dozens of overall selections will pass in a given day.
I think Theo's point was that any number becomes a benchmark that people feel they have to hit, whereas not giving a number means people feel more comfortable filling out their lineup however they want. That was the thinking behind not having a limit in the auction. I don't remember anyone taking that opportunity to do a bajillion FAs. It just made people more apt to do none or a handful.

another thing I fucked up the first time around, picking a million FAs thinking that more music is always better. gets overwhelming to sort through all the artists.
I'm really not trying to be a roadblock to progress here. Aside from screwing over the people that have to repick my big concern is that I haven't foreseen some way that this could make a ton of more work for me.
I'll update the OP to 175.
Also, I'm changing the superjam rule to allow a maximum of two superjams without the possibility of using UDFAs on additional ones.
