i feel like i missed the discussion around thisssss, but...name change and/or pronouns change? either way, congrats just wanting to ask to clarify to make sure I get it right moving forward
Both, actually! I use he/they pronouns and go by Alex now.
Not my dead name, which I suddenly find myself unable to type when I don't absolutely need to

awesome, congrats on the shift.
an aside, i feel like inforoo is strangely superrrrr skewed hetero and binary normative?
i can think of like 4 queer people on the whole forum--surely there are more, but only 4 that come to mind (including myself). and is there anyyyyone else on the board that is NB? lol maybe my super liberal queer IRL bubble just skews abnormally in the other direction, but, it feels so normy around here!

Ella & Louis // Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong as a duo. Cookin' Mama
feels like we went over this in Zombie and they didnt qualify due to lack of shows? could be wrong
pulled from the wiki In terms of touring performances, Fitzgerald once again teamed up with Armstrong, after the success of their first album, to hold a series of concerts at the Hollywood Bowl. The duo's music proved popular with the live audiences.[1] Two live tracks from those 1956 concerts would end up being released as album bonus material in the 1990s.

MISSY ELLIOTT
Melissa Arnette Elliott (born July 1, 1971)[1] is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. She embarked on her music career with R&B girl group Sista in the early-mid 1990s and later became a member of the Swing Mob collective along with childhood friend and longtime collaborator Timbaland, with whom she worked on projects for American R&B acts Aaliyah, 702, Total, and SWV. Following several collaborations and guest appearances, she launched her solo career on July 15, 1997 with her debut album Supa Dupa Fly, which spawned the top 20 single "Sock It 2 Me". The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200, the highest charting debut for a female rapper at the time.[3]
Elliott's second album, Da Real World, was released on June 22, 1999, and produced the singles "She's a Bitch", "All n My Grill", and top five hit "Hot Boyz". The remix of the latter song broke the record for most weeks at number-one on the US R&B chart on the issue dated January 15, 2000; as well as spending 18 weeks at number one on the Hot Rap Singles chart, from December 4, 1999, to March 25, 2000. With the release of Miss E... So Addictive (2001), Under Construction (2002), and This Is Not a Test (2003), Elliott established an international career that yielded hits including "Get Ur Freak On", "One Minute Man", "4 My People", "Gossip Folks", and "Work It". The latter won her a Grammy Award for Best Female Rap Solo Performance.[4]
Elliott went on to win four Grammy Awards and sell over 30 million records in the United States.[5][6][7] She is the best-selling female rapper in Nielsen Music history, according to Billboard in 2017.[8] In 2019, she released her first extended play, titled Iconology, became the first female rapper inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and received the MTV VMAs Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award for her impact on the music video landscape.[9][10] In 2020, Billboard ranked her at number five on the 100 Greatest Music Video Artists of All Time.[11]
rethinking this one - did they ever actually play shows as Ella & Louis? Only shows I'm aware of were the 1956 Hollywood Bowl shows, and that wasn't Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong, they just both happened to be on the bill with a bunch of other acts.
They preformed together at the Bowl but only two songs. Wikipedia says they played live otherwise but I can't find a source for it other than some videos on different shows. So I'll repick Louis Armstrong solo
