@jostles — some of the quotes you pulled from MD definitely remind me of shit I’ve said trying to sound chill/go-with-the-flow-y while actually pushing an agenda bc I’m mafia.
I feel like a runoff of potent/Teddy/Md might be primo
I had this same thought. I have a mad town read from MD

Teddy and potent are my ideal 2 here. Mad dog I see the argument but gets a pass from me today. Teddy has whack implications and I see potent as the closest tie to tranter
I concur with too many of the sentiments being expressed here which makes me pretty sure at least one of y’all that is speaking along my wavelength is actually mafia hiding behind agreeability
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
how long do I need to wait to move my vote before people realize I'm town, and no cavalry is coming to save me? 12-ish hours between posts enough?
Where’s your head at right now? You’ve posted a little but curious to hear what your thoughts are of the remaining people in the runoff.
I'm a little weirded out - I thought it made sense to look at Rummy voters, since T was mafia and it seems A) more likely that at least one other mafia was with him, and B) it's the only option if all 3 mafia were voting the same way. Then the town went and did exactly what I advocated for (surely, some of it happened before I posted, but nobody should have been surprised where my thinking went on D2). It allows me to invoke my favorite thing Jortles has ever said (and it's been a while now so I don't know if I can quote it precisely) - silly me to think I could get all the townies to do something I wanted. It was a great quote, and so true.
Anyway, that's what I think based on the voting data. But based on gut feel, I don't think you (Dan) are mafia, and I have a town read on Maddog too - so that leaves Teddy. Obviously if there's no other movement, my vote will necessarily go to Teddy.
If there's a mafia in the T voters, which there probably is, that could be harder to smoke out.
I feel like the Silver whack points to me, and you (Dan), as everyone has pointed out, but it seems a little too on the nose in your case (and I'd argue mine, but I know my status while you all don't). So, it feels like it was a misdirection, framing you and me, and the inspector is probably alive. I hope they guessed a T voter to help us narrow that down when the time comes.

I'm assuming it's been point out that the Silver whack also points to Tranter himself, right? Kanye decided Tranters fate with his final round opening vote considering that Rummy had a revote. When I was drunk that night and said Teddy decided it, it was Kanye that decided it.

Yeah I brought it up as an option. Maybe mafia read silvers “only bc he played longer than rummy” as inspector who was looking for a reason to vote out the given.
can you expand on this being your reaction to the news that Tranter was mafia? Curious to know how you got so damn good at the game to where there is no celebration or slight surprise. Teach me please.

That reaction was an overexaggeration; but I have a gut town read on Rummy and I really didn't like the way Tranter was pushing her, which is why I made that switch off of Dan onto Tranter that put him in that position, and it was pretty satisfying seeing that move pay off
i still think the math supports 1 in the first four to vote (kpo, theo, rummy, [kanye]) and since no one joined me in that thought process, i'm sort of trying to decide if i should vote with or against those 3. still out of that group have biggest town read on theo.

Aren't you usually one of the biggest proponents of "don't look at the whack from the angle of misdirection--best to assume Maf was trying for actual Inspector," ESPECIALLY Night One?

This is the debate Kanye and I always have, though we haven't done it for a few games. Yes, I generally believe that mafia tries for the actual inspector, or at least that's in their best interests. I also believe that, many times, mafia has no read (or no good read) on who inspector is, so framing is discussed. As in, well, it could be x, but even if it's not, that looks bad for y and z. I think it's really difficult to say that anyone does anything one particular way every single time in this game.
3 way is a huge mistake here. Requires so much movement that I’m sure we don’t get the result we want
What do you suggest
We pick 2 here to go forward (teddy and potent would be ideal IMO) and debate both those choices. With a 3 way not only do we have to discuss we think is mafia, but we also have to coordinate our switches which would be ripe for minipulation with 2 maf still out there.
Let’s say we have a maf here distancing now, all it takes is for the maf to switch to someone else once the round closes then it would require 2 separate people to switch onto the maf to even equalize things
