Pretty understandable. There were barely ever any good relevant female rappers until the last 5 years or so.
I don't think I'd say no one was "good" or "relevant" before 5 years ago. Not as relevant as now for sure but there were definitely some talented female rappers out there.
With that said, yeah, I don't think it should be a surprise not to see many, if any, female songs on here. The hip-hop genre was dominated so much by male voices, especially early in its inception, there's just way more rap content from male rappers. If I were making a Top 100 list of favorite rap songs, I don't even know when the first female song would pop up. Maybe one of The Fugees songs (Ready or Not, Fu-gee-la?... Lauryn Hill had some skills.) Maybe Rapsody. Really not sure tho.

I started to put Lost Ones. Lauryn definitely should be represented. My 5 favorite female mcs are Lauryn, Noname, Rapsody, MC Lyte and Queen Latifah. Then there’s Foxy, Kim, Cardi, Nicki. Also love Badu and Monae when they rap.
I put together a list of songs i’d expect to see on there. Maybe could be used as ideas for future submissions.

Seems like you agree
I agree that the lack of female representation shouldn't be a surprise. I guess the part I don't necessarily agree with is that there were no good female rappers before 5 years ago.

It’s not like he raps. That song has a pretty loaded lineup.
Coulda just added Monster if you're talking line ups on a song.
I just felt like that song was a banger when it came out. Good verse from T.I., Ross, and Wayne. Akon on the hook. Felt like it deserved consideration for something this size. Just an idea.
