Good to hear y'all think Lane 8 is likely to remain. I only really started getting into him with the 2020 lineup but he was definitely something I was really anticipating.
Now I don't have to consider that Red Rocks show lol

On a livestream yesterday Rina Sawayama said she has an LA date on her tour that she’s not allowed to announce yet because she’s playing a festival. I know the tour dates already locked her in but I’d say she’s 100% confirmed.
I wonder what Caribou's dates mean for Coachella. Playing the Greek in LA in November, the Fox in Oakland in February, no dates after 2/21...
He seems like a guarantee to return if he's not overseas during April.
I’m a little concerned he won’t be there simply due to booking all the normal go to locations between weekends for his February tour. That said, I’ll definitely be at the local Phoenix show.

Right, this is what's throwing me off. I'd have expected Oakland in April if he were still playing Coachella. But then, I'd also have expected LA around the same time as Oakland, not three months apart. They're just weird dates.
Anyone here going to Porter Robinson’s show in LA or second sky?
I rather see him at a festival with some friends than possibly going solo
If I buy a couple tix, should I be able to sell for at least face value fairly easily if I can’t get anyone to come with me?
Its gonna be 3 LA shows so be wary about that. Wait til they add the second night for sure. Cause thatll be a saturday and youll have better chances of finding somebody to tag along cause its a Saturday night. But youll likely get your money back for sure.

Look at his tour dates and ask yourself why theres 5 days in between playing LA and Ohio. And considering Second Sky sold out in a few hours its pretty much guaranteed he adds extra dates in LA.

My only thought is venues are already booked around that time and he took what he could get when he could get it. I’m sure he makes enough money between Coachella dates to just play them as stand alone shows before heading to Europe. He’s technically doing that for Firefly.

True, and now that I think about it, he was originally doing that for Coachella in 2020 as well.

He really doesn’t seem to mind doing weird tour routing.
Strategic tour routing before a fest announcement next year goes out the window when every agent is scrambling to fill dates with the flood gates open.
Especially when LN is apparently booking twice as many shows for 2022 than what they had in 2019. So a lot of neutral venues are getting booked like crazy to whomever jumps on the openings sooner.
In local news The Hollywood Bowl announced their summer season and will be requiring proof of vaccination for entry. No distancing in the vaccinated sections either. They will have a small section of seats reserved for non vaccinated attendees and theyll need a neg test for that. The venue will be operating at 67% capacity ( according to yellow tier ) which ends up being about 13,000. I hope they put the non vaxxed up in the nose bleeds.

Hmm might make sense
Can’t tell if this rules him out of lolla or ACL or not since this was dropped before those lineups

I'll say if the Coachella decision to bail in October was government/regulation-related at all, they made the decision way too early as California is ditching the mask mandate on June 15th as well as full capacity. I tend to believe it was because they just didn't want to do two festivals in six months.

Waiting for that news until now may have been too late regardless. They could still do some kind of event for October but Coachella probably would’ve needed more time and had to make a decision before this. Even then, there’s no guarantee Indio would’ve allowed a 125k capacity event to happen quite yet anyways.
Some big releases today. If we hadn't been backtracked due to covid, this might have been the year Coachella pursued Cole. I wonder if Nicki would agree to a sub slot because that'd be a great get even if I'm not a fan personally And if St. Vincent could be top three on her day
