Is there anyone else who just can’t drink at festivals? The idea of getting drunk and dehydrated while trying to maneuver between a dozen stages and sets during a Summer festival just never matched up for me. Usually if I’m going with a group, I’ll drink with them once it’s the headliner set, before that I just stick to bud. Props to those of you who can get your buzz on and still catch the shows you want.
i dont drink at fests bc i dont wanna have to piss during sets. I always sneak in some joints instead. excited to try some Cali dispensary weed. its decent here in MA but supposedly its incomparable
Eh, I’m a pretty big smoker, and weed is weed to me. Unless you’re talking about shwag, it’s usually all the same. Last time I was in Cali was in 2018 and I bought from the dispensary. I don’t recall feeling like it was all that much better than back home. Being from Illinois the most exciting thing about buying out of state is avoiding the ridiculous taxes on it. Last year when I went to Utah to hike we flew into Las Vegas and I picked up at a shop before heading to the Mormon state, and it cost me half what it does in IL. That was exciting.
Oh boy… My top act to see 2019 was blackpink. I know the words. I know some of the dances. I have watched so many stages of the girls. Stan Lisa. I was there. I have the shirt. But I don’t remember a single thing from the set. I just remember coming to and being like “Janelle Monae is playing”
Also wound up missing Turnover because I was hanging with friends. Then took them to The Garden and it was funny.

I can drink but I can’t get drunk. Or at least, I don’t want to. I’ve never had as good of a time drunk at a fest, but a couple nice beers during the day and a cold light beer at night while rolling is perfect.

I could see the Arcade Fire rumors turn out to be true. like someone else said, this way they don't have to accept a non-headliner slot. but some of them are in LA, new album, surprise shows seem to be a theme....
also, 2014 had pretty late set times and we have #lateadds
