things to do around the festival after weekend 2? like places to eat or checkout (we're already doing joshua tree a diff day)
Not sure how long you’re going to be around, but I have 2 days before and 2 days after Coachella to vacation with my family. Some things we have planned for those days are: Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, San Diego Safari Park (take some edibles and enjoy, it’s a blast), Torrey Pines Beach, USS Midway (absolutely amazing Museum to visit), Sunset Cliffs, Mission Trails regional park, and Disneyland.
It's not the kid we have that is the holdup - it's the kid that's been sitting around in my wife's belly for eight months

Thanks man - I have already been sharing Coachella videos with our 2-year old - now she asks for "party" and wants to watch more videos. I showed her Fisher doing Losing It because the visuals are zebras and she fucking loves zebras. Soooo think I am going to do some Couch-chella with her - just not Kim Petras or Code Orange.
Next year though the girls are staying with my parents and we are making the pilgrimage back - really want to do Safari Tents once before I age out of this mess.

Arcade Fire at Coachella in 2022 would have a pitifully attended set. Might even compete for the biggest discrepancy between billing and crowd size.

I keep telling my Coachella mates that the only way we get stuff like Arcade Fire to headline again is if Coachella moves to 6 headliners. the big pop stars get top billing and someone like AF, Radiohead, LCD, etc can get the #2 spot. that way bands that won't play without being a headliner can still play and Coachella can still have the big bangers to move tickets. Outdoor Theater is big enough for those types of #2 headliners and the stages wouldn't feel empty.
but I admit, this is not very likely to ever happen.

Most of that is in or right outside of San Diego.
we're heading there on our last full day there (wed) for san diego zoo. maybe we'll get the safari park next time around
