Was great to be back again. Favorite sets were King Gizz, Caribou, and Code Orange. Saturday and Sunday of W2 felt insanely packed, and it was pretty miserable walking around yesterday with all that dust. Might have to switch to W1 from here on out but I think I just may be getting too old for this fest lol.
Interpol & The Walkmen 11.23 I Am Morbid/Suffocation 11.26 King Diamond 11.29 Sadistic Intent/Massacre 11.30 70K Tons Of Metal 2025 Hell's Heroes 2025 Sick New World 2025 Maryland Deathfest 2025
Sunday was definitely lightest day for me, but still a good time (aside from the dust). Spent more time in Sonora than on previous days - Viagra Boys were great! One of my favorite discoveries from the lineup and a top show for the weekend. Altin Gun and Crumb also had good sets. Any idea why Skeggs was so packed? I came in late to check it out and they had a huge crowd so I left. Sounded OK but I also didn’t want to spend the whole afternoon inside lol.
Maneskin was a party! That set scratched an itch for me. Charismatic, band sounded great, and such an engaged crowd (at least up front - not sure how big the crowd was overall). Denzel Curry had a nice set but a half-full Sahara as it led into the headliner. Also danced in Sahara to Duck Sauce earlier in evening - fun as expected.
I may be the only one here not on the Fred Again.. train. I saw the first half hour and was not that into it, but I was just outside the tent so that didn’t help. Might try them again another time but it just didn’t grab me as it did so many others.
Left after 4 Weeknd songs (watched some SHM too) and got out of the parking lot easily.
Overall top 5: Elfman Japanese Breakfast Amyl & the Sniffers Maneskin Rina HM: Madeon, Viagra Boys

Agreed about the crowds - Craft beer tent was insanely packed at times (around dinnertime I guess) both days. Saved some money on drinks by postponing my buzz due to the crowds 😏

Finally alive enough to post my thoughts! Dust dust dust on Sunday! Holy cow I forgot what this feels like after three years. I never felt this beat after LIB or Outside Lands lol. Anyway, an amazing weekend of music like always, gonna try and hold on to this feeling next time I feel like complaining about the lineup, time frames, etc. This shit just always ends up a blast.

It was hot as balls outside and people figured out the Sonora had AC. Last weekend was the same. I prob wouldve told you go have walked into the tent for the second half of Fred Again and it mightve clicked. Its just a build up type of a set. It didnt help that he was pretty late despite the earlier set time.
So due to the fact that everybody thought W2 was just as packed as W1, seems like our novels about the death of Coachella were a spectacular waste of time
Gonna type out an annoyingly long review tomorrow but this was an absolutely incredible weekend. Fred again might be the best show I’ve ever been to. I’m still kinda just in awe.

One week ago today my GF and I made the spontaneous decision to do coachella Saturday and Sunday only. Never been. Was able to work out details with a lot of help from Tranter and then ultimately surprise Tristan, Mitchell, Theo and Dan at their camp Saturday midday. Missing Thursday shenanigans and the Friday lineup obviously wasn’t ideal but two days was better than none.
We had such a great time with the squad and while we obviously weren’t around everyone as much, I really enjoyed my moments with all the new inforoosters I met.
This was like a sampler / appetizer coachella. Hoping to go full send next year.

Great weekend as usual. Can’t stress enough that Fred Again is special, but really didn’t see any bad sets. Disclosure was the only thing that didn’t hit super hard, but I was in the back so that may been part of the issue. Wish I could have stayed at Elfman longer, but Caribou was fantastic as always.
Top 5 Sets
1. Fred Again 2. L’Imperatrice 3. Caribou 4. Idles 5. MEUTE

Minus disclosure I never felt packed
It was only packed at PDM and Fatboy Slim for me, I did also consciously avoid some of the bigger crowds though

Disclosure was the weirdest crowd distribution ever lol. Everyone packed the left side. I walked past ADA on the right and there was barely anyone there and got a great spot.

Can't believe the weekend is over, good time, super exhausted
Fri:
15 min of John Summit> 30 min of PDM (took about 30 min to get in, awful job with the lines, there was so much room in there)> Madeon> 10 min of Lil Baby> Baby Keem> Big Sean> Slander
Sat: 1st song and bottom 1/2 of Giveon>1/3 of Disclosure>3/4 of Flume>Antarctic Dome>DoLab>1/3 of 21 Savage
Sun: Fred Again..>Doja>SHM & The Weeknd
Top 5 sets of the weekend for me: Big Sean Baby Keem Fred Again.. SHM & The Weeknd PDM or Madeon
Flume and Disclosure were dissapointing for me
The Weeknd was meh, one of my 5 favorite artists, but I feel like he could have done better. Going to the middle of the stage area was an awful idea to me, camera man blocked everything
SHM impressed me tbh
So did Baby Keem and Big Sean, one of those 2 sets were likely my favorite
Biggest regrets:
Missing Stromae because I thought I could make the Dome and then catch up with friends, didn't happen
Not going earlier for PDM
Waiting for friends to eat and missing end fo Karol G to get closer for The Weeknd and SHM
Not sure if I do a 3 day weekend again unless the lineup is amazing and I have a group of 6+
No clue how some of you guys camp and or do both weekends
Disclosure was the weirdest crowd distribution ever lol. Everyone packed the left side. I walked past ADA on the right and there was barely anyone there and got a great spot.
Welcome to the outdoor stage LOL. It's always like this and if you know it you can get super close for almost any act playing that stage.
