3. On that topic... Thank you to all of those people on that list for not making fun of me (at least to my face) for how hard I danced (whilst mostly sober!) at Jamie XX. Jesus Christ that set was insane.
If any of us did that it'd basically be the pot calling the kettle black
speak for yourself buddy I had chicks coming up to me all week asking me how my moves were so smooth
am I the only one that thinks most of the Coachella merch is always kind of terrible for the last bunch of years?
Ive always liked the boutique stuff more. Cause theres little random things to buy. This year they didnt really have that. And i always buy a lineup shirt to add to the collection
the boutique stuff did not appeal to me at all this year.
Fwiw they changed the boutique quite a bit. Blankets and other specialty items that would have otherwise been there were in general merch. Definitely preferred it that way. I liked what I saw in the boutique but nowhere near enough to spend the type of money on it they were asking
I feel like merch in general took kind of a step back this year. Obviously the operations were problematic, but the sheer amount of fluff that was in the coachella merch did not help either
Like, there were probably 20 different coachella shirt options as a conservative estimate. And (in my opinion) most of it was either not cool and/or didn’t scream “I went to coachella” enough. Increasing capacity of the actually cool stuff (I know that’s relative) and cutting out fluff would have saved everyone a lot of hassle

Its mainly due to them having those specific designers and nothing else. Yeah, they nightve put some ither items in regular merch but it still wasnt totally appealing. Wasnt gonna drop $50 on a water bottle.
They really should go back to letting you order festival specific merch via the app. They did it in 2019 and it was clutch. Not hard to let people pre order merch a few days before the fest and then pick it up when you feel like it during the fest. You st least cut down the line to buy stuff cause not everyone wants artist stuff.

I dunno, I liked a lot of the merch designs they had this year. It definitely seems like they went into a different direction, like they wanted to design merch that doesn't look like your standard festival merch which I dug. I personally don't need anything that screams I WENT TO COACHELLA. I much prefer something that looks great even if it wasn't associated with Coachella.

Well they have the custom clothing section and you can just pay a bit extra to get something that you know is coachella related but isnt plastered with the logo. It would be great if they sold all those patches they have for it separately, though.
Edit: WTF my coachella merch order already shipped and might arrive tomorrow?! Why cant i get my photo book and poster this fast!

That makes sense, I thought the general merch was really good this year. I would say I prefer the specialty items being in the boutique just because the line at the boutique has never been an issue and the general merch line is always painful (and even worse than I remember this year)
Got the postcard book in the mail and its really cool. It also might be the only item that has any trace of Ye onnit since theres no way it couldve been changed.
