Lions, Panthers and Falcons all passed on the QB position huh
And Broncos.
fans always believe in their guy more than other people do. Though using Sam as a tanking mechanism to get the #1 pick next year would be sharp for the Panthers

I think they think of him as a genuine reclamation project after what you guys did to him.

Think it's pretty clear the Panthers are going to give Darnold a two year trial, but I also think they'll cut the cord after this year if he holds them back. Seems obvious that they won't take a QB.

With the #13 pick, the Dallas Cowboys select Christian Barmore (DT - Alabama).
Most people have us taking CB in the first round, but I think we need to go inside DL. I still believe in our linebackers, and they just can't do their jobs if we don't shore up the defensive line in a major way. The added pass rush will also put less pressure on the secondary.
But do you want to be like the Giants and the Steelers who will go to the bitter end with their QB and just scratch your head when Matt Ryan falls off the cliff? You’re gonna have to pick a QB sooner or later and sooner can be better. Green Bay knew they to replace Favre and werent just gonna sit around til he decided not to suit up anymore. Hell, Andy Reid got rid of Mcnabb at the perfect time cause he knew that was it for him in Philly. Its the Bill Walsh philosophy of letting somebody go a year early rather than a year late.

Think this spot for the Vikings falls into a congruence between biggest needs and best player available. Biggest needs seem to be OL, Edge, and CB (with Gladney question mark).
Before I pick, cause I know who I want I’ll say that 15 is available if somebody wants to make a small jump. I can put a time limit on the offer if you wanna speed things up.

I believe they're sort of locked into Goff for a bit.
he was, at a point, a top talent, and the qb of a superbowl team, and in a way that's not like joe flacco leaving baltimore, he's still young.
I think getting a rookie without building a line, and later getting weapons (especially w golladay leaving), you're just going to end up back at sq 1. especially if you think goff isn't good, do you think he's a great mentor?
getting a blue chip, OT who's going to start at RT right away and potentially move left, ideally w a long career, you can see what you get w goff, if you're bad you're bad but I'm not pulling the trigger on Jones or Lance when the best OT is available.

Played a lot of tackle for USC but do you expect him to move inside to guard?
That would be my projection for the Vikings. I'm taking my analysis from one of my best friends who is a Vikes fan/Lakeville, MN resident, and The Athletic.
