I don’t think that it’s possible there wasn’t a maf in the 5 way. It’s also weird that you voted for mad dog, but have a town read on me, leaving only otter in the 5 way who would likely be maf.

Based on this count to end Round three, I think there’s a fair chance of a Mafia between Rummy and Maddog. From my perspective at least. It’s a little weaker read of a split than we usually get D1 because we know Theo was Maf, and him being on Dan makes it a little more likely there were two Maf on Jortles or Potent. If Maddog and Rummy are both town, it also ups the chances Potent was Maf. That’s not my initial read on him and we shouldn’t let it guide us but something to keep in mind.
I find myself in the unenviable position of seeing half of the remaining players calling me out as sus. As a new player, I really don’t have a feel for how to convince you all that I am not in the mafia. But I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, “it wasn’t me.”
I can only assume that one of you leading the charge is in fact in the mafia, not sure which. Scrolling back, that looks like Jaz, who seems to be floating under the radar. So I’ll throw out a rather tentative:

i still find you sus (partly because of the vote splits but also as New Guy, we have no idea how to gauge your play style--so it makes sense for us to raise eyebrows in your direction when you could be getting coached by Maf teammates), but i do somewhat agree with you on the bolded part above.
vote splits matter when i look back for patterns/clues/etc. but i do think Town as a whole historically has gotten a bit TOO caught up with them at times. e.g. acting like it is Literally Impossible for a split to be a certain way, etc. Again, it does matter for our analyses in trying to sus out the Mafs, but it isn't the end all be all

I think AT LEAST one of the people throwing shade in my direction is Maf, and it could be two. but the pile on is weird. and really frustrating for me.

This is a gross exaggeration of what I said. Also I don't really ever consider other player's opinions on other players in this game unless I agree with their reasoning. I respect Jortles's opinion on you but not enough to move the needle on you (which is firmly at "idk").

Yes and no. You'll notice I said "From my perspective, at least". I know the likelihood that I'm Mafia is 0%, which obviously narrows down the pool of potential Mafia on Potent. Just like the pool of potential Mafia on Jortles is narrowed down for you if you are in fact town. So yes, everyone else should have a baseline suspicion of me, just as they should for any other player they don't know the role of.

so far maybe yeah, but it felt like the rest were gearing up to place their vote there/to gauge if others were gonna jump on it too. which is what makes me now look at y'all with an eye towards the notion that at least one's likely mafia because i know alllll about that tactic of "enter the first day where theres some uncertainty about whose gonna go (post reveal d1, that is) and try to gain some traction with raising suspicions around a townie, see if other ppl pick up on what we're throwing down"

but it is fair if people read into your reaction to the accusation; in fact, i think it necessary for Town to do so. Jostles wasn't able to give us two confirmed names but he gave us one confirmed & one unknown-role person's reaction to the accusation of such.
