PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING
Instead of doing a normal bracket where whoever is running the bracket just picks what's in the bracket, I'm going to try to democratize the process and let everyone have a say in the nomination process. I got this idea for the r/music_survivor subreddit where they do survivors for the best songs on albums and this is how they nominate albums while they're doing their album of the year survivors. To get a better idea, this is how they run things.
How Nominations will work:
- Someone will post a lineup they think should be in the bracket, as long as it's from 2010-2019, it's fair game. It's highly encouraged to also post a picture of the lineup poster along with the festival name and year so people who are unfamiliar with it can see it.
- Even if you are posting a picture of the lineup, still post the name in case the picture gets deleted, doesn't work, etc.
- Please read and see what has been nominated before you nominate. Please do not post duplicate festivals lineups (e.g. "Bonnaroo 2014" twice.) Only the first will be counted for the number of likes.
- If you agree that this lineup should be in the bracket, "like" the post. Whichever lineup has the most likes will make it into the 32 spot bracket. Dislikes will mean nothing in terms of voting.
- PLEASE DO NOT POST IN THIS THREAD OTHER THAN TO NOMINATE LINEUPS. This will help me keep everything organized. Discussion can be had in the Best Festival Lineup Thread.
- Seeding will be determined by the highest number of likes a lineup has. For example, if Coachella 2012 has 15 upvotes and Bonnaroo 2012 has 12 upvotes, Coachella 2012 will be the higher seed. In case of a tie for a certain seed, the lineup that will have the higher seed will be determined at random.
- If there is a tie for the last seed or seeds, a poll will be ran to see which lineups will be in the bracket.
- The nomination period will last at least 3 days and depending on response.
oh shit I totally forgot about Roskilde somehow, which remains the only major festival to have booked Rihanna (I think?). My personal favorite is Roskilde 2014:
