The radius clause isn’t a set in stone thing. Capps has said that if they really want an artist, they'll work with them. Tool had a Nashville date in 2020 after the lineup was announced.
Just curious because people are negating the idea that some bands would be on the lineup due to radius. Wasn't sure how accurate that might be with any band this year.
yeah if an act has a Nashville date in May or something, it’s not happening especially the higher billed they are but an act selling out a date is different in January or something is certainly doable.
We loved the Charlotte show. Unfortunately I had to put my cat down that morning so mentally wasn’t all the way there and we left mid set two but really enjoyed the show. I’d love for us to get TAB and Oysterhead cause I doubt they’ll give us Phish again anytime soon :/

i was asserting somewhere that it is unlikely oysterhead and TAB could both play bonnaroo, this proves me wrong.
and this past TAB tour was like the best TAB tour ever, even though they kept losing various members to covid infections.

My brother went to TAB at Radio City the other night. I haven’t talked to him yet. But everything I’ve read on the internet seems like it was pretty sick!

Starting to ask around to see if any friends have a group going to Okee. The overall lineup is kinda meh, but I've always wanted to try it out, and another Tame show is a good enough reason to.
My gf and I might go. We love Tame , Caribou and Four Tet. So solid chance we go , especially if Tame doesn’t add a show here in Charlotte. Still some nice things too… Smino, Clozee, Fly-Lo Gary Clark Jr, Jungle , Twin Shadow , and Troyboi. Also they have plenty of decent wook music , per usual.

I am really digging the Okee lineup and have gone in the past. It is definitely on my radar for next year, as long as we don't actually strike and continue to work.

Honestly I wish that they would stop trying.
It seems like it's not something that they're good at. Maybe just be the festival that books other good stuff with a few acts sprinkled in rather than making it a focal point and continually underwhelming.

bonnaroo actually does an excellent job booking electronic acts, just not booking the electronic acts i like. the other is always packed 24/7 throughout the weekend. people love that shit. i think if they suddenly switched to a techno/house format it would be upsetting to those people.

Come on, you’re not a little bit curious what would happen if Bonnaroo booked at least part of the Other one to exclusively feature Discwoman artists?
