thurs: sons of kemet - vnssa - weval
fri: the chicks - plant and krauss - disclosure - king gizz - goose - bleachers - isaiah rashad - lane 8 - denzel curry - japanese breakfast - john summit - LP giobbi
sat: tool - billy strings - suicideboys - chris lake - ludacris - nora en pure - slowthai - femi kuti
sun: stevie nicks - rezz - herbie hancock - puscifer - all them witches - tierra whack - lettuce
and i'm interested in the jack antonoff superjam
as much as i'd love to hop on the worst lineup ever bandwagon i can't honestly say that this is terrible. they've booked some surprisingly OK non-wook bass DJs: vnssa, lane 8, john summit, LP giobbi, chris lake, nora en pure (this nora en pure live mix was kind of my shit during the early pandemic). of the interested list above it's a nice combination of genres. and while i'm quick to shit on any superjam post 2014, i bet Antonoff will do an OK job. however on friday in particular i'd be super concerned with disclosure/gizz/goose conflicts, having all of them conflict would really ruin my schedule.
not sure if it's worth the ticket price, four days annual leave, and a seven hour drive, but i expected to be at my keyboard literally shaking and cackling at an absurdly bad lineup, but aside from weak headliners i think it's fine.
the lineup would hit a lot harder if it was Travis Scott - Tool - Fleetwood Mac at the top.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
This lineup already looks better than the 2017-2019 editions. Stevie Nicks is a fine Sunday headliner and Tool headlining Saturday will be a must-see. Have a can’t-miss late night show Friday after the Chicks and it’ll be a good time. Hell if at least Sons of Kemet are playing Thursday, that’s already a better Thursday line up then my last Roo in 2016.
shuck’s 1993 jam where it’s just me on stage by myself playing New Order’s “Regret” over the PA for 90 minutes. I stand in complete silence, doing only the clapping parts and nothing else
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
I haven't expressed an actual Take on this but this lineup is really weird because it has two headliners who I absolutely hate and one I would love to see with probably not many opportunities to do so and a bunchof upper name rap that does nothing for me but also what might be as close to a good Other lineup as this festival ever books and a bunch of incredibly random names I would also love to see (Nothing, Femi Kuti, Herbie Hancock, Tinashe). also not sure anyone is aware of this but there's a an all-female country trio I really, really like that I heard is playing this festival this year. So, I don't think this is The Worst Bonnaroo Lineup Ever, but I also think it's worse than last year, but in spite of the cliche I also do think this year's random bookings do give it a little bump. If I didn't have prior commitments, I'd even consider going, if not just to defeat the devil Maynard James Keenan.

Nice they have a Thursday worth attending. Weather Station would be one of my top acts of the whole weekend. Too bad it comes at the expense of a Sunday worth seeing
I hate to tell you, but Travis Scott isn't playing music or a festival any time soon.
just saying in a world where he wasn't the face of a terrible music festival tragedy.
Travis Scott is significantly better than J. Cole, its true. I'd certainly rather see him from a safe distance.
I'm surprised there's no Doja or Meg on here because there aren't a lot of really big options right now otherwise. Coachella is going to have a Kanye rescue. Kendrick and Drank are quiet. Tyler didn't make it back for whatever reason.
So...J.Cole, Roddy Ricch, 21 Savage, Jack Harlow and whatever Machine Gun Kelly is....that's rough.
Yeah this isn’t my cup of tea. Tool is great but I’d rather pay a fraction to go see them in an arena than to pay a lot more money for this. To each their own. I’m really disappointed no MMJ though.
Pay a fraction? You must not have seen prices for this tour. $188 after fees from Ticketmaster for floor seats. Bonnaroo is still an amazing deal.
Last tour my boyfriend paid 700 dollars for for a floor seat in the 5th or 6th row with no vip. I paid 150 each for this next tour for nosebleeds. Bonnaroo is a tremendous deal for Tool.
I would hope you do! He's an incredible person and makes fantastic melodic, pop-EDM. He is the perfect person to kick-off Thursday.
I'm 7mins further into it than I expected to be when I hit play, so he's off to a good start with me.
I doubt he's doing a live set for Roo, but if you want to get an idea of his production level take a look at Gravity Live from the Shrine he has on his YouTube. Might be my favorite show I've ever seen.

Thursday:Sons of Kemet, Weval, Indigo De Souza, The Weather Station, Nothing, The Dip, Vnssa. After a quick pass through I'll be interested to look into Kenny Mason, who has songs with Gibbs, Denzel Curry and JID. Goth Babe and Blu DeTiger will also get a listen.
Gonna plant this hot take now, but if I can magically see all of SoK, Weval, Weather Station, Nothing and Indigo, this could actually be the best Thursday since 2013.
Friday: Disclosure, Denzel Curry, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Lane 8, LP Giobbi, Goose, Japanese Breakfast, Arlo Parks, The War on Drugs, Robert Plant & Allison Krauss, Tove Lo, Chris Lorenzo
The way I think about Bonnaroo days is as follows: When I wake up that morning, will I be excited as fuck and say "hell yes we are seeing x and y today!" Don't really have that act here. Don't really have that act on the entire lineup tbh. Disclosure may be my #1, which is not a good sign. On a positive note, there is definitely enough to fill out a great day. The electronic is notably better. It looks like that made some of Thursday and all of Friday their House days. Seems like almost every other act on this day is housey. I'm really hoping to see my top 5. Would love if late night went Disclosure on Which with Lane 8 and LP Giobbi involve din a run to close out the Other until Sunrise. Bad scheduling here could easily make this day a wasteland though.
Saturday: 100 Gecs, Tool, Slowthai, Ludacris, Marc Rebillet, Billy Strings, Suicide Boys, Porter Robinson, Femi Kuti, Flume, Nora En Pure, Chvches, Chris Lake
Just give me a weird ass night of Tool > 100 Gecs > Marc Rebillet. I don't think they can really even fuck up this day with scheduling but we'll see. There is good stuff I expect to be during the day and at night. Suicide Boys is overlooked around here. They don't make great albums but have a lot of shit that slaps. Ludacris is fun. His setlists are amazing. Know and enjoy 90% of the songs. This is probably my best day, but still worse than any of the main days from 2021.
Sunday: Tierra Whack, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Nicks, Tinashe, Lettuce, Puscifer, Nathaniel Rateliff, All them Witches, Dombresky
Perfect scheduling could make this day fun actually, but its very bad. Really hope Stevie is decent.
My girlfriend is excited about Tinashe and nothing else. I do have some more "rock" leaning friends that are ok with this. I will be fine but its mainly because I really love going to Bonnaroo. Would never go to a new festival based on this lineup, but I can make it work. Top 10 in bold.
