Man this shit is depressing. This makes the 2021 cancelation hurt so much worse. Losing MMJ, Foos, Tame, and Primus is a huge blow.
I really wanted to come back this year, but I can't justify the cost for the 10 acts I would actually want to see.
Haven't been since 2017. Ah well, looking to do Floydfest and 4848 this year. Floydfest was a lot of fun in 2019. I'd love to go to Lockn again but I'm pretty sure that fest is dead now.
I see plenty of ok but nothing that’s just “oh wow” that makes it a must go. I’m going to have to think this one over. I’m sure it will be fun but can I justify using limited personal hours for it?? Not sure yet
I'm ranking the lineup a 6 overall. I really am not a fan of the top besides Tool and the chance to see Stevie (don't have expectations on her show one way or another). I don't hate J. Cole or Roddy Ricch as much as most people here do, but they are soft top acts. I don't like most of The Other. At least when it was bass heavy, I could pick and choose the shit I wanted to see and ignore things like Borgore that I didn't care about. But with all that frat, pop and house, there's not many acts I want to see there which is unfortunate especially for overnight options. I think I counted 5 that I know that I'd even consider walking to that part of the festival to see. I'll research more later if I end up deciding to go and maybe can find some stuff there I'd be willing to give a chance to.
The flipside is after costing out the estimated cost of a ticket to see the acts I want to see and then discounting by the fact that they'll mostly only get festival-length sets, it's pretty close to $900 in music value to me with plenty of research to go. There's great jazz on the lineup - Herbie Hancock, Cory Henry and Sons of Kemet and Lettuce. Maybe there's another one or two to discover in the deeper reaches of the undercard.
TLDR - this is not a lineup I'm psyched about. It is one where I could see about 30-35 acts I'd otherwise catch at a show or another festival anyway. I'll probably buy a ticket on Thursday and wait to see what happens with Bourbon & Beyond.

Teddy Flair,
Tell me you didn't cut your hair, tattoo your scalp and come back as Teddy Swims. Haha
Thursday: - I think we're either missing some dj's for the Other or they're giving people longer set times? - In comparison to previous years, the line-up feels and also runs a lot better than other years. That also reflects a bit in the schedule though Goth Babe and Role Model are kinda dime a dozen indie pop boys eh.
Friday: - Very stacked. I'll say it again but TWOD or Disclosure could've been moved to Sunday and this day as Sunday would look way better - Illenium is too big for the Other so we're bound to get Chicks > Cole > Illenium of some sorts OR Illenium moves to Which and King Gizz moves to a tent, could also happen - Very light Other this day, comparible to Thursday. There's really only Illenium and then it kinda.. falls off. Not Disclosure taking into account really for the wook bass community - With Illenium probably going LN, the Other.. is kinda weird. I mean I have Lane 8 and then this John Summit guy idk.
Saturday: - Billy Strings > Flume > Tool is.. wild, to say the least but ya. - The scheduling of Ludacris (could be LN in a tent), LANY (being way to big for what they actually are) and a lack of diversity in the undercard made it hard to schedule. Like I wanted CHVRCHES on Which, but the billing and popularity of $$ and LANY.. Well, yeah. - The Other looks decent with your usual names, Nora En Pure an Chris Lake kinda stand out here which is why I moved them both to LN - Overal very whack day
Sunday: - Very easy to schedule around... Because there's not much to see really; Tash > Herbie > MGK > Stevie kinda speaks for itself and so does the scheduling on Which. - Only had a hard time trying to find my way around Tinashe (could go ATW spot), you could place her on Which or in a tent. Same goes to Puscifer (Wallows spot) - They kinda went hard on singer-songwriters this day as they did with rap on Saturday - The Other is booked alright, no surprises good or bad... meh - Overall very whack day

Yes, but they also went from five tiers down to three. Is it possible that tier one was the presale, tier two is the on-sale, and tier three is last call? We don't know...but given how small tier one has been in the past, we know they aren't doing it that way anymore.
Interesting that they bumped up tickets to tier two for the on-sale. 👀
Pretty sure they did this was the 2020 edition that was canceled. First tier was available during the entire presale and when they went on sale it was tier 2
redditors going after MGK for making creepy comments about minors but not one comment about robert plant/led zeppelin quacking minors all the time on tour.

i think other scheduling depends on the updates they do to the stage
I think of Deadmau5 was on the other, Illennium could be

no bias there lol
I always thought zep fucked miners. Could never understand why people were upset

Honestly all the EDM could be on The Other. Nothing on the lineup is significantly bigger than Deadmau5.
Flume might be an exception since he's #2 on his day.
Might've already been discussed, no MMJ? Thoughts?
As someone having their first child in June, I’m very grateful it’s off and I don’t have to miss the epic late night set TWICE. I feel like they will be back in 2023. I think they intended to be pretty busy this year, but they might be pushing that to 2023

It’s the most Bonnaroo thing ever to have the two acts I’ve been most obsessed with in the last 3 years (Gizz and Billy Strings) and the. Just pile hot garbage around it to make me feel like it’s a meh or even sub meh lineup
This is very similar to Voodoo 2016 with Tool, Puscifer, Porter Robinson, All Them Witches, and Black Tiger Sex Machine. Saw all but the last mentioned. That Porter Robinson set is still probably the best electronic set I have ever seen. His live set was so colorful and beautiful visually and he sounded awesome. I went in just starting to get into him and I liked his cute fun sound and came out an absolute fan. Also hope Tool opens again with Third Eye!!!! Ugh that would be a trip.

I think of Deadmau5 was on the other, Illennium could be
Bonnaroo 2020 had Flume (#2) and Bassnectar (#3) and there was no way either was going to play the Other. That's a bit different than deadmau5 at #4 and overall being the biggest electronic act on that line-up.
edit: also yeah, in 2012-14 deadmau5 might've been What/Which but now?

I really wish they would've showed us that schedule. 2021 didn't have any major EDM like Flume, Illennium, Basnnectar. Rufus maybe but Sunday doesn't count.

I think it really depends. Bassnectar played which last time, but that was before they announced upgrades to the other
I think it’s conceivable they upgrade the other to be the same size as which
