Did I miss the talk on the new MMJ album somewhere? These songs are going to kill live, some great jam potential on most of them. But man, Jim’s lyrics are rough. The message is objectively good, can’t fault him there, but ooof. Did he really need to directly reference Stranger Things and Sephora in the same song to get his point across?
I have mostly been on board hiatus since Roo got canceled because I was just too sad and finally have had a chance to digest the new album and it gave me the music / mood boost I needed to come back and start feeling excited again. I’ve been looking for the new album talk for 20 minutes and this is the closet I’ve found. I love the run of In Color -> Least Expected -> Never in the Real World (100% agree with your note of the top on-the-nose lyrics, cringed).
That last riff of In Color honestly pulls at my heartstrings. I cannot WAIT to see it live. This album was made for the stage and seeing some of the photos coming out from friends at the Chicago sets this week is giving me major FOMO.

I can’t wait until their next tour. So bummed I’m missin’ this one, but I skipped the Charlotte, NC, sho ‘cause I was sure I’d see them at ‘Roo like two weeks later. Then their next closest show got moved from a Saturday to the middle of the week which didn’t work fer me.

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Tash Sultana just announced a standalone Red Rocks date for June 12th.
Their album that released earlier this year is excellent IMO, would definitely welcome them back at Roo!
They were one of my most anticipated that Roo, but Paramore was a must-see for me. Totally worth it as Paramore was fantastic imo, but I'd definitely welcome another chance to see Tash.
Isbell had an 8 night residency at the Ryman in October, and he was on the 2021 lineup.
yeah but if he'd had 9 dates (just one more than he had) i seriously doubt he would've played bonnaroo. who needs that much jason isbell. eight is plenty.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
