Another sorta relevant question: is Astroworld going to affect the bookings of any other LN fests? I’d imagine LN is setting aside a big chunk of money for Astroworld, and I’d guess that some of the booking money from other fests goes into that, right?

I expect Bonnaroo to be bigger than usual rather than smaller after 2 canceled editions. Honestly don't believe they made a loss after these last 2 years.
Didn’t see it mentioned in here either but now that we know the dates I think there’s another likely artist: Benee is performing 6/17 in Atlanta with a four day gap until a show in Denver:
She has a few catchy songs from her debut album last year (Grimes is on a few of them iirc?). Not the sort of thing I'd pay to see but would check out at a festival if nothing better was happening
We should probably get a thread of confirmed semi-confirmed acts and stuff that's out from tour dates like that Coachella thread
Wasn’t sure where else to put this, but Jeff Cuellar is leaving Bonnaroo. I think he’s been there since the start — the early days, at least. He’s one of the more public-facing, high-level staff — does interviews, worked with the county/city on various issues, etc. I think he was their external affairs/partnerships VP. More here for anyone curious:

Reed told the times that Brad Parker is handling Cuellar’s duties and that he is still on the team.
So is he just less involved then?
Maybe? Hard to tell if the “he” refers to Brad Parker or Jeff.
I love the Manchester Times because they cover a lot of smaller Bonnaroo stories throughout the year, but the writing itself isn’t always the greatest. I don’t mean to criticize — I’m just glad they exist with the way the newspaper industry is shrinking.
Jeff usually appears on the What Podcast once or twice a year, so that’ll probably give us some insight as to whether he’s really left or just less involved.
Jeff will be dearly missed, Roo losing him in any large capacity is a tough blow.
The stuff he'd done for the festival was far outside his title and job description, he'd more or less been the heir apparent to Capps for a few years now. But I can't blame him at all for wanting to move forward with his career and try a new challenge, especially since he's got younger kids and probably doesn't want to be away from them for weeks at a time during summer festival season when they're not in school.
A lot of the cool stuff that's happening in the campgrounds now is thanks to him seeing opportunities and delegating people to the right connections. We had a call around a month before 2020 happened and we brainstormed what eventually became the new Groop Pod / Galactic Giddy Up activation, he was totally receptive to some ideas that we and Camp Reddaroo had and did a lot to make it a reality. I really hope that the new person or people that take up his efforts will be as collaborative.
Coldplay is not playing a one off festival just like that anymore.
eh crazier things have happened. Tour lines up really nicely with no Nashville date. I don’t really buy the “stage set up” stuff because festivals always accommodate. U2 brought their own screens.

I kinda hope Bonnaroo goes Jam heavy again like the old days. I was happy Oysterhead, MMJ, Primus, Goose were on last years or 2020 lineup. Hoping for Umphrey's McGee or moe.

They announced 2 (!) other stadium dates for Brussels (next to already two dates), while they didn't announce or add anything for the Netherlands. Staying a couple of days in 1 venue and letting fans make the travel instead of doing them is all part of their eco-friendly tour. Almost every stop has a few days in between to optionally add an extra date. In the weekend of Bonnaroo they're at Philly and Atlanta. I cannot see them make the travel on the 9th or 10th.

Bonnaroo is 16-19. This makes Coldplay likely as their last US date is on the 14th in Florida.
I like the U2 comparison, this definitely wpuld be a unique booking. I would've never thought U2 would headline Bonnaroo, they rarely play festivals.
