If I'm faking you're gonna have to assume I whacked myself even after potent said multiple times he wouldn't. The smart play if I were Mafia would've been to whack potent so there isn't an extra exile from a successful save.
Your teammate came out and said he knew I was bluffing (Jortles) and another potential teammate (Pablo) said the same thing. So it's entirely believable that mafia thought I was bluffing and wanted to call me on my bluff, and if I didn't save you, then it looked like you were actually inspector and would help you.
Also, this is more meta, but I stated in the postgame of 148 that I didn't think an extra exile actually helped the town at all. It's to mafia's benefit not to have to whack someone. That's a problem you guys will have to solve moving forward if Doctor is used again.
Jake Jortles - do you not see any issue at all with Silver guessing Rummy? And talking about a "guaranteed" win today?
I definitely dont have an issue with him guessing Rummy. The thought of Rummy being mafia was absolutely in the back of my mind, and Im still not even clear why she had previously earned a full town read from you. But beyond that, the meta that Inspector needs to have this bonafide reason for guessing someone has always been dumb imo. There is a lot of pressure that goes into making a guess. A lot of thought that goes into it. I dont really care about the final reasoning someone lands on. Inspector just needs to tell the truth in a pure way that the town can pick up on. And its in that area that I think Kanye has been bad this game. Well that and his guesses have been dogshit, but thats doesnt play into his credibility for me.
Again, I still havent taken the time to count out the days and scenarios but it looks likes Dan confirmed that the game is effectively over…
In the event Kanye is telling the truth and in the event that town doesnt fuck it up. And to that point, I dont really care to lock on Teddy right now because Im not playing out a finished game. Mafia needs to give it up if this is actually the case.

Maybe I phrased it wrong. The "benefit" to the doctor successfully performing a save is an extra exile. I don't think that's a "benefit".
