Ok so just went back and reread the interactions with zig day 1.
Two groups stuck out to me.
People on carini when zig cast suspicions: rummy silver potent kpo People that said something along the lines of “it’s too early”: LLL and a lesser extent KPO
I personally think that if you believe zig was whacked for pushing back on the “it’s too early narrative” then LLL is the biggest pointer here. This also reconfirmes my suspicions on silver.

If I can be serious for a minute - I was just making jokes on my rules clarification post and didn't mean to piss you off. So I'm sorry for that.
So the enby thing, I have no problem with. Good for you for being yourself. The split personality thing though, I'm probably not alone in saying that's not common and its a bit of an adjustment to get used to. Particularly in Mafia setting. But, I really do hope that things get better for you.

Thanks for writing that up.
I think the most plain and simple explanation of the ZIG whack would be that Jaz was mafia and they thought they were getting the inspector (and Silver just came through with a clutch play). However, I highly doubt mafia would allow themselves to get exiled D1.
Alternatively, if Jaz was town and Tranter is mafia, they could've tried to make us think Jaz was mafia by whacking ZIG which makes Tranter look innocent and potentially Silver if they were in on that together. (Not accusing you two of being mafia, just outlining a possible scenario and sorry if this one sounds tin foil hatty)
Most likely scenario to me is that we just had two townies in the runoff at the end of D1 and mafia whacked an experienced player to get them out of the game and watch us try and make sense of it.

No problem.
Half agree with you here. I think Jaz may or may not be mafia, but even in the case he is I’m not sure the answer is as simple as maf thought he had Jaz’s name. Zigs posts were cryptic which makes me think if he was inspector his name is within the groups I posted. Regardless, I think maf is definitely taking a shot at inspector night 1 given if maf kills inspector before a reveal town pretty much is losing here IMO. So this brings up three scenarios
1. Jaz mafia and given - explained above why I don’t think this is case.
2. Mafia is within group of carini voters - by pure odds there’s likely a mafia in this group anyway, I’m looking mostly at silver here with kpo secondary.
3. Mafia pushed the “it’s too early” narrative - this would probably implicate LLL the most with KPO as a possible secondary again.
I know this is mostly repeating myself but felt like explaining where my head is at a lil deeper.
We need to force as many players into Revotes as possible over the first couple days. This way we provide as much data to the inspector as possible. IIRC in M100, that data proved valuable post-reveal
Im curious how you arrived at those two names? Because you are replying to a post talking about mafia hanging back / being quiet.
KPO has been the opposite of quiet, 5th most posts so far (it’s early). Carini is middle of the pack, with 9 people with fewer posts (ZIG included). You made me flip to desktop mode to actually check post counts because this screamed as bad data.
So yeah, this Carini stuff seems pretty manufactured and sketch so I’m more comfortable keeping my vote alongside Carini.
The thing that gets me is people now circling the wagon saying “it’s too early to know anything and be pushing someone” yet they seemed to be pushing Carini when according to their logic, we shouldn’t know anything…

I just want to make sure that I am understanding this post correctly, because I find it an odd argument to make in trying to explain ZIG being whacked. Especially from an experienced player like yourself. Are you trying to say it was suspicious of me to suggest that townies should hold off on formulating strong suspicions about anyone in the middle of Day one of a game this large before there is actual data to go on vs just the “feelings” and “sus” stuff that some folks were posting about because we all have to then go back and try to weed through all of that when we actually have some voting patterns, whacks and associations to start to look at to use in conjunction with any feelings we have started to formulate? Because what I am saying is a pretty sound playing strategy to help townies win in the end by not following another player down a rabbit hole early on with zero evidence backing it or, even worse, a Mafia member trying to cast suspicion and misguide us.
If this is, indeed what you are saying, my question is, why did you skip so many other players in your “it’s too early narrative” little scenario? Not sure if this was just an oversight or if you are trying to push a false narrative here. Because other players said that day one of a mega game is early to start reading players as suspicious.
about half the players here have been playing with one another a looooooot the past year+, and speaking for myself i know there have definitely been Day Ones where i acquired a strong gut read that ended up being correct. however. this is my first "mega game" on the board, and i am very cognizant of how this D1 feels a lot harder to try to make reads during than a standard 11 person game (especially when it is 11 folks who play with each other frequently). so yeah, in the context of *this* game, i agree it is too soon, but i don't think that's always the case
I initially cast my vote for Tranter as a day one random pick - but then he moved onto me, so I kept it there. I do think his "pure vibes" reasoning for why Carini & KPO are town seems a little suspect, because I've played dozens of mafia games and I've never gotten a good read on a person in day one, let alone two people. I'm not saying that he is or isn't mafia, just that some of his behaviour strikes me as odd. So I'm keeping my vote where it is, and hopefully it'll go to another runoff and give us a bit more to go off of.
Potent never votes me early, normally he will wait for me to get quieter then vote me. That is one of my points of suspecting him this game
Yeah because in a 25 person game one can read another person within the first two runoffs. C'mon man.
And lastly, my post. Which is actually about clogging up the thread with early public TALK about every suspicious feeling that players think they have about a player. It is irrelevant. Unfounded. And makes it hard to read back through to form actual sound judgements. Sure it pushes the post count and make it appear like participation is occurring, but at what cost to townies trying to make sense of the game. To claim this ONE post I made about this in Day one was pushing a narrative is like some serious stretching. Especially when you fail to even mention these other posts.
I don't get the public talk of suspicions so early, especially in a game of this size. Part of the reason I am pretty quiet. There is zilch to work with yet, and I know I, as well as others, do read throughs of the entire game multiple times and will have to weed through all of this, so I'm trying to keep my post count low, since I have nothing to contribute yet. But to each their own.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

1. All of those other posts you quoted where after zig had made a comment about people saying “it’s too early” so if he was inspector he was saying it in regards to the posts at the time he made that comment.
2. People running with “feels” and “sus” day one has become more common recently. Could be up for debate how useful it is in a mega game like this (especially for reread purposes), but I don’t find it particularly sus at all.
3. I definitely am feeling more and more that zig was maybe whacked for his emphasis on carini voters moreso than people pushing the “it’s too early” narrative at the time of his post, but I do think it’s worth keeping in the back of my mind.

And note. ZIG was taking about a specific group who was “pushing Carini”. I’ve never mentioned or voted for Carini. So he wasn’t even talking about me. You may want to look back at those who mentioned Carini, or voted for him AND mentioned not knowing anything. Which I’d be glad to find once I get stopped.

For accuracy, I know for certain Potents did not if mine didn’t. That is actually the post I was responding to when I made mine. His post came before mine.

If that’s true then I missed it and potent is confirmed mafia
