Why would True Inspector counter right now?
So they are believed, and they don't force town to fuck up and kill town when they can easily get a mafia. Put yourself in my shoes, nobody contests an inspector claim. 3 game days later someone else claims to be the real one. Are you really going to believe them?
Also look at mafia 94. the true inspector waited to counter to day 2 after a day 1 fake and ended up getting voted off and mafia won. if he had countered right away it is most likely a different game

Yeah, I decided a good time to pull mafia shenanigans was the day I picked up my family from the airport after not seeing them for months. They really appreciate flying to Denver so I can play internet games instead of show them around Denver/CO

Ok, ok. So I see there's been some shit go down. While I'm not firmly in the KPO camp, I lean toward believing in the overly paranoid inspector claim. The one and only time I was inspector I revealed too early in order to get heat off me. Mafia did what mafia do and I was whacked. But like it was mentioned earlier, in a game this size, the sacrifice of a couple can go a long way to preserving mafia presence throughout.
Let's say KPO is inspector. Then the whack comes through, and it's Silver. We'll be scrambling around trying to put together affiliations and mafia can sit back and spin a narrative that KPO was faking so they can stage a reveal later.
Let's say KPO and Silver are both mafia. We back off KPO, exile Silver, then we lose a (probably far more helpful than me) townie. Town becomes more wary of KPO, but we're hung out until the True inspector reveals.. If they aren't offed already.
I'll put together a few more thoughts after I have some coffee.
Kpo’s most recent posts feel more genuinely of the “I’m annoyed y’all are fucking this up” camp. Also, silver hasn’t done too much to make me think he’s innocent
