Odds aren’t bad Silver could get mafia twice in a row.
Odds seems not so great for inspector twice in a row but far from impossible.
Odds seem real good that with 2 dead people, 7 mafia and 3 town roles that the truth of this could be extremely skewed and will probably end up favoring mafia.
For example, all it takes is for a mafia member to have been doctor in the last game for them to feel pretty good this narrative has legs.
But maybe ref took a day to just give everyone the same roles?
To me this is making Silver look more and more guilty (KPO looking better and better) and makes me feel like he is mafia with at least some of the same people as last game. But I kind of agree with him that its kind of against the spirit of the game? If he gives us 6 names we will just witch hunt those names and we either win because they were all right (but where is the fun in that?) Or he could purposefully give us wrong names, or he could give us the names he was mafia with and they could not be mafia this time, and we waste time killing those people. Of course I want town to win and normally any advantage we can get is a plus, but I'm not sure I personally want to hear the other names

If he's town this game, then it doesn't matter who he was mafia with last game, it would be meaningless - anyone getting a mafia role in both games would be purely chance and coincidental. Silver is the one who claimed he got a different role. Didn't KPO even say he was inspector last game too?
For those reasons, it looks like Silver is mafia this game again (and of course, reasonably wouldn't answer the question because he knows who is mafia).

As I said, I think Silver is mafia and is in fact probably trying to protect his mafia teammates, but it feels silly to me for a mafia member to just list off the names of people who could or could not be mafia based off of last game which had technical errors in its creation. Maybe "spirit of the game" isn't the right terminology, but it is way too easy for mafia to manipulate, and it brings in a lot of external information which is not technically from this game which I feel like we usually try to avoid. I want town to have the best chance to win, but this doesn't feel like that to me. And if it turns out all roles are exactly the same it seems like the game would just self-destruct at that point and we are already two weeks in.
At the same time it is what it is and every mafia game is unique in its own way, so maybe this is what will set this game apart. I'm not going to tell anyone they can't pursue the information if that's what they think is best for us to win.

JTR explicitly mentioned the possibility of people inferring roles from the previous thread as reasoning for rerandomizing so I don't really think he would use the same roles.
So we’re going to have to restart the game with new roles because those roles can be inferred on now.

I was mafia last game and we literally discussed it in the mafia thread with him.
Vote me off next, guys! Ignore what I said about close to half the players having reasons to lie or stay quite. Or be dead. Like Jaz who was also mafia last game. Or was he? Am I making that up?
assuming KPO isn’t faking as town which would be dumb as shit, you or KPO has to be mafia. As long as you aren’t a special town role there is no reason to keep you alive in this situation

Just as a PSA, the night is going to end in about 6 hours. I won't be up in 6 hours but the night will still end then. So any role who doesn't have their stuff in, you've got until about 5 am.

before that happened (at least since I've been playing), nights had been pretty much silent, and since then there has been much more action at night. So it's actually kinda historically relevant I suppose
