I don't know. While I could see why Mafia may want to use it as misdirect, I don't find that statement insignificant. If I were Mafia with a Rummy teammate, I would find it significant and be concerned that this Townie was on to us.
If I were Mafia with a Rummy and KPO teammate, I would ABSOLUTELY find it significant. I'm still assuming KPO was Inspector unlesss more info comes out, but if he wasn't, this would def concern me as Mafia.
Pablo has been an excellent Townie to play with in the times I've played with him. I just don't see him making willy-nilly statements about other players like that this late in the game. He had some kind of feeling about Rummy, someone he has played with. Looks like other players do too. Help me understand why you think that there are other players more worthy of being in a first round run-off, if only for information gleaning. Your statement was pretty sharp. A "massive mistake". Maybe you were just using hyperbole, but I am intrigued by your statement. I know it can't just be because she is good to have around as a townie, or else you would have made that statement about other's who have been in the run-off.

He was likely on the right path one way or another. I wonder if it isn't worth including her in a run-off based on that. Why are you feeling it would be a mistake at this point?

If KPO was faking and maf is still gunning for inspector, I agree, the whack would probably be because rummy was maf. Just have no to believe that as of now, and if Pablo was a whacked inspector, I do not think he’d be that forward with a name (meaning in this scenario he probably hadn’t guessed rummy but she was still maf).
Like I said I’m undecided on rummy but I’m thinking long term about the game. If we get to day 7 or 8 or something and all we have left are the people who are sitting back and haven’t even made an effort to play, then we’re screwed. If rummy is maf I feel pretty comfortable that I will be able to sus it out. So I do think it’s a massive mistake and stand by the comment.

Yeah. I agree. There have been a number of head scratching moments like this in the game by players who look like they may be trying to manipulate the narrative with complete falsehoods.

We had more active people in the wider one. I was mostly joking. Hadn't really thought about it but it was pretty weird to have no posts from the people in the runoff.
The only thing to keep in mind in a normal game mafia probably isn't going to go too far out of their way to save dead weight. Might not be the same strategy with 7 players I guess. But with 7 the likelihood of quite mafia goes up a good deal. So looking for 2 or 3 seems more than reasonable. Especially in a game with such shaky participation level. I include myself in this but I do try in the evenings.

Tempted to vote Capt Jack again at Rummy's request but I can't make up my mind if that's the right call. While I get Dan's argument and vote for quite people to try and get them to talk I don't know if getting to comfy mowing down quite players helps if we miss. Especially if we had mafia in Truevine/Jortles. Tend to think we did.

I don't think it is a bad idea to do it again, but I don't think it should be ALL quiet players. We just lost two of the quietest players. They can't ALL be Mafia. And while I do agree it is more helpful to have participating players in the end, it is also not helpful to pick off players who may be townies just because they are quiet. So yeah, maybe 2 or 3 in the runoff from the bottom tier of participants, and 2 for other reasons, like how whacks have voted or what whacks have said. That is just my take on it.
The bottom 4 participants are Ella, Capn, Trav and Otter. Although Otter has twice as many posts as Trav, so there is a big jump up there.
