With two players left to vote, the following players do not have a vote today: Rummy, Carini (but presumably confirmed town), rooloo, Maddog, Capn, Travisty. Subtract Carini from that group and that's a group of 5 players. I've got a town read on a few of them, but I could be wrong, and the numbers say at least one mafia is in there, as well as it making sense that a mafia member or more than one would be without votes at this point.
Anyone interested in moving to one of these players?
I’d go Travisty or Capt. but that’s pretty boring choices I’ve already voted for..
Feel like Rooloo has coasted by without much attention but I don’t really have much suspicion of him. I do always keep a look out for players with high post counts that don’t seem to actually be saying all that much.
needs to be cleaned up some but this was where we were before Alexs exit, which admittedly hurts more than the JR exit because at least we got a full day
I tend to follow gut feeling in this game more than any particular trend like voting alignment or post count. That gets me in trouble more often than not, because it can be hard to articulate or pinpoint any one action that's made me think that way, other than "the vibes aren't sitting right".
I may be totally off-base here, but something about LLL's posting style this time has felt a little stilted and calculated. There seems to be a lot of misdirection, vague speculation, and leaps in logic in her posts, which I don't really remember from previous games together (admittedly, it has been a while). And if I'm wrong, well, I'm sorry... but the vibes aren't sitting right.
Cap'n >>> LLL
could you give some an example of her gauge speculation that sticks compared to other players? There’s not much concrete information so most of what’s being said fits that bill. Not sure how she is more quality of this than others.

Feel like it is MD and/or Travisty in this lot. Cap’n hasn’t done/said enough of anything for me to have a read at all tbh
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Rooloo, LLL and MD confirmed town. Now we are getting somewhere.
Why are they confirmed town? The nighttime whacks have been Zig, KPO, Pablo, LD, and Otter... and yet these three are somehow confirmed town. Why exactly? And how convenient to include herself in that confirmed town grouping...
It has already been talked about by multiple players the interpretation we can surmise from the ZIG whack. We always must assume that the whacks, especially early on, are Mafia seeing something about that player that made them suspicious that they may be the Inspector. Two major possibilities brought up, and I find them completely valid, are that Jaz was Mafia, and that ZIGs mention of people pushing Carini ESPECIALLY Carini voters who were cautioning against it being "too early to tell" and push on one player. Using really the only solid "evidence" we have, that leaves two camps of folks.
Carini Voters: Rummy Silver KPO Potent
Rummy's mention of day one difficult reads didn't happen until after ZIG said something about Carini pushers who have said something about that and I don't really see where Silver said anything. But, because he mentioned Carini pushers, we should keep that whole group at least in mind.
Tranter voters: CapN Truevine LLL Jaz Pablo Potent LD JR Rummy SFA Carini
Seems that we may be best off at least having folks from these two camps in the runoff, in my opinion. Which currently include. Silver KPO LD Pablo
Would have been nice to have Potent or Rummy, (more Potent than Rummy though), in since they straddle both lists. But we have what we have. This makes me not very inclinced to change my vote.
This all feels like rambling misdirection to cast doubt on a wide net of players. In particular, the "we always must assume" part rankles me, because there are no givens in this game with strategy. I have been mafia enough times to know that sometimes, you want to whack a townie who was voting for (and voted for by) other townies, to deflect suspicion from the mafia and create confusion among the innocent.
Mafia pushed the “it’s too early” narrative - this would probably implicate LLL the most with KPO as a possible secondary again.
I know this is mostly repeating myself but felt like explaining where my head is at a lil deeper.
I just want to make sure that I am understanding this post correctly, because I find it an odd argument to make in trying to explain ZIG being whacked. Especially from an experienced player like yourself. Are you trying to say it was suspicious of me to suggest that townies should hold off on formulating strong suspicions about anyone in the middle of Day one of a game this large before there is actual data to go on vs just the “feelings” and “sus” stuff that some folks were posting about because we all have to then go back and try to weed through all of that when we actually have some voting patterns, whacks and associations to start to look at to use in conjunction with any feelings we have started to formulate? Because what I am saying is a pretty sound playing strategy to help townies win in the end by not following another player down a rabbit hole early on with zero evidence backing it or, even worse, a Mafia member trying to cast suspicion and misguide us.
If this is, indeed what you are saying, my question is, why did you skip so many other players in your “it’s too early narrative” little scenario? Not sure if this was just an oversight or if you are trying to push a false narrative here. Because other players said that day one of a mega game is early to start reading players as suspicious.
about half the players here have been playing with one another a looooooot the past year+, and speaking for myself i know there have definitely been Day Ones where i acquired a strong gut read that ended up being correct. however. this is my first "mega game" on the board, and i am very cognizant of how this D1 feels a lot harder to try to make reads during than a standard 11 person game (especially when it is 11 folks who play with each other frequently). so yeah, in the context of *this* game, i agree it is too soon, but i don't think that's always the case
I initially cast my vote for Tranter as a day one random pick - but then he moved onto me, so I kept it there. I do think his "pure vibes" reasoning for why Carini & KPO are town seems a little suspect, because I've played dozens of mafia games and I've never gotten a good read on a person in day one, let alone two people. I'm not saying that he is or isn't mafia, just that some of his behaviour strikes me as odd. So I'm keeping my vote where it is, and hopefully it'll go to another runoff and give us a bit more to go off of.
Yeah because in a 25 person game one can read another person within the first two runoffs. C'mon man.
And lastly, my post. Which is actually about clogging up the thread with early public TALK about every suspicious feeling that players think they have about a player. It is irrelevant. Unfounded. And makes it hard to read back through to form actual sound judgements. Sure it pushes the post count and make it appear like participation is occurring, but at what cost to townies trying to make sense of the game. To claim this ONE post I made about this in Day one was pushing a narrative is like some serious stretching. Especially when you fail to even mention these other posts.
I don't get the public talk of suspicions so early, especially in a game of this size. Part of the reason I am pretty quiet. There is zilch to work with yet, and I know I, as well as others, do read throughs of the entire game multiple times and will have to weed through all of this, so I'm trying to keep my post count low, since I have nothing to contribute yet. But to each their own.
This one (spoilered for length) feels quite ironic because IMO, LLL herself is actively trying to clog up the thread with every suspicious feeling she has about a player. And yes, it does make it hard to read back through and form sound judgments...
When I look at all these pieces and put them together, it starts to stink of shadiness.
I'm wondering if we should include Travis in this runoff in case he doesn't miss this vote. I'll honestly be pretty suspicious if he is silent and offline since the 8th and jumps in right before the deadline to avoid death. That'll scream to me that someone is behind the scenes trying to get him to vote. But I also want to stay on Theo.
Truevine > Tranter Pablo > Teddy Rooloo > Silver LD > Potent Ella > Pablo Carini > KPO Silver > Otter JR > LD Rummy > Theo KPO > Silver Alex > JR Teddy > Theo Tranter > Pablo Potent > LD Pablo > Teddy > KPO rooloo > Silver > Tranter Otter > KPO Theo > Teddy Dan > Theo Tranter > Pablo > rooloo Otter > KPO > rooloo SFA > Travisty LLL > Pablo Dan > Theo > Silver Jortles > Silver Dan > Theo > Silver > Travis Maddog > Rummy Rummy > Theo > Teddy Maddog > Rummy > Potent Capn > JR

in the same boat. I also thought Cap’ns post about LLL was pretty convincing but at least we’ve got some names going into future rounds that we’re sus of and not completely shooting in the dark.

my dude, i wish you'd kept it to the first sentence alone lmao, now that you've spelled out the bolded part, i doubt mafia will go that direction if he IS one of them

why would it matter? If he doesn’t, he’s exiled. If he does, he can get off the hook.

he does sort of put too much effort into dissecting what was clearly a joke that he's quoted out of context
idk lot of putting words into other people's mouths on this page
I'm fine with killing that boy Theo. He hasn't been around much and I feel like he usually contributes a lot everywhere on the board. But my one hesitation is if the next kill could lose the game? Are we that far along? I know someone posted the breakdowns but someone tell straight up, do we lose if a townie dies today and we only killed 1 mafia?
nah we still have at least one more day afaik
sort of feeling ok that this was Teddy's last post, and despite being voted for twice since then he's been fairly active elsewhere on board w/o any more commentary

Yeah I'm sure they'd take their chances if they could. We didn't even move to put him in anyways, so he'd still survive another day

Think I’m pretty much done with this game. 3 fucking founds in a row? Most of the posts are about vibes and fluff. We have like one normal day of voting data.

Thanks for taking the time to write all that. I don’t really agree with most of it. LLL is at least trying to make sense of this mess even if she’s off on some stuff. As has been pointed out the first quote is clearly a joke so your accusations are pretty ironic.
We’ve got players with way more post than her that would fall under similar categories so I still don’t really get why you’re pushing just her but I can respect that you have to go off gut to a large extent here.
