i know the folly of having expectations going into a show, so i won't have too many, but the one wish i'll hold on to is 726. been listening to that song a bunch.
one thing goose does so well, and the thing that helps draw comparisons to VW, is wistful/sad songs. and they do them while still being groovy. damn thats kind of joy division-y. now i want them to cover "transmission". hope i run into peter somewhere so i can demand they cover "transmission".

you'll probably be into this nugs playlist then: 2nu.gs/3SvXu3f
it's a fake album called "not alive and well" and compromises of 8 "dark goose" songs, which are goose songs that give off spooky, dark vibes.
favorites off of it are 8/13/22 earthling or alien and 1/30/22 wysteria lane. there are also a couple of cover from the donnie darko soundtrack when their halloween costume was characters from the movie on 11/7/20.
spooky and dark isn't the same as wistful and sad but i'm into this shit so i thought you would be too and hey halloween's coming up. i also want them to cover joy division and see tweekz go into a peter hook style bass solo
edit: learned about this from the @madisonhuvan twitter account and idk if they made the playlist but i wanted to give credit
also the link isn't working right might have to copy and paste it
foolishly abandoning your responsibilities is cool.
…
test isn’t until Monday
i kid of course, do what's right for you. i frequently abandoned my responsibilities when i was in college but i was also a total wastoid from age 18-23 and accomplished nothing except seeing george mcconnell sing "Doreatha" with widespread panic a handful of times.
if you have responsibilities I'd say just send it to the show sober, have a nice few hour break from studying, and you'll still be sharp and ready to go the next morning! People need breaks

for sure. i’m definitely debating it, the only struggle is that i’m 3 hours away instead of 30 minutes or an hour lol
if i was closer it would be a no brainer! today has gone well though studying wise sooooo

ahhh I thought it was in your city! Now I understand why its a big question lol
That second set though. Damn. postjack wanted a rock show. We got it. Plus Brothers Johnson Get the Funk out my Face. Haha. Goose.
2nd set was so sick. Loved every minute and it just flew by.
That get the funk outta my face was so well played. I didn't know goose could get that funky. Jam out of Mississippi Half Step was incredible. Wysteria Lane was great too. Can't pick a highlight.

Great meeting you finally!
Same, great meeting you as well, and we get to do it again plus see the stream Sunday night from ACL. What a fun ass show. The first set was fine and very enjoyable. But when they came back from break, they ripped. Probably about a 25 minute intermission with the show going from about 9:00 to 12:10 or so. I'm assuming we won't be getting any repeats, but for any Goose fans who didn't see last night's setlist (from .fm):
Elizabeth > Travelers > Atlas Dogs > Earthling or Alien? > Turned Clouds > All I Need > Wild Night (Van Morrison) - intermission > Butter Rum > Get the Funk Out Ma Face (Brothers Johnson) > Wysteria Lane (and we had the Wisteria haha) > Mississippi Half Step-Uptown Toodeloo (Grateful Dead) > Your Ocean - White Lights encore
White Lights was extended. I thought they were playing something else and may have worked in some riffs, but postjack confirmed it was White Lights. I felt like I should know more Goose lyrics than I do. The whole second set was a highlight for me though getting blasted with Get the Funk was killer. Joy was packed as shit too - probably as packed as I've ever seen it. But there was still room to move around especially toward the middle-end of the second set. And I was glad people turned out.
today is bandcamp friday so i might buy a couple of shows to support the boys
me too, anyone have any recommendations?
i just gifted my wife 6/2/2018 covington because her favorite song is the mashup of fatboy slim's praise you and clarence carter's strokin' . you also get an elmeg and a factory fiction. bang for your buck
