Chem Bros: Go, The Salmon Dance, The Sunshine Underground Grateful Dead: Althea, Ripple, Eyes of the World
I like the other artists, but not familiar enough with their catalogues to name my favorite songs. And I love Sufjan, but I'm not picking my favorites cause I like them all
Tbh trying to choose/rank fave Suf Songs feels to me like how I imagine parents feel trying to rank their children--but let's be real, those parents all have a mental list of favoritism somewhere deep in their subconscious.
So imma need you to dig into that same place, and extract your Top 3, pls.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Impossible Soul, Jacksonville, Fourth of July, Casimir Pulaski Day
Impossible Soul is just a masterpiece.
I absolutely love the composition of Jacksonville, it always paints this vivid imagery of a parade forming and marching down some random Main Street in the world (maybe Jacksonville's main street? idk), but I've never really been able to wrap my head around what the lyrics mean.
The last two are some of his best writing and just unbelievably personal and emotional.

see, i knew you could do it! and it's a great list, too.
anyone who doesn't put Casimir in their Top 5 loses points. I don't have words to express how much I love that song.
