Brazil beats Ex_Machina by one vote, Alien barely gets past Clockwork Orange, Repo Man finally takes the L, also by one, and Inception is crushed by the film that “inspired” it.
Now only two films from the 21st century remain, both of which were nominated for Best Picture by the Academy. Two Star Wars, two Terminators, and through all odds the duo most unlikely-to-succeed Bill and Ted manage to hang in there.

I think 2001 will win, and I also think it should. Its side of the bracket looks pretty easy, especially if it makes it past Jurassic Park, which I think is the second-best movie on that side.
Blade Runner is one of the most overrated science fiction movies and Children of Men is much better.
Meh, kind of. The actual film itself is maybe over praised, but it is often attributed to where the visual look and atmosphere of cyberpunk was created. Some people even say it has the greatest film score of all time. For many, Blade Runner was always more about the mood and the visuals than the actual story. I think 2049 is slightly better in terms of narrative. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep is also maybe Philip K Dick's best novel.

Empire Strikes Back vs Fury Road and Terminator vs Blade Runner are the hardest choices ever!!!

I've read the book.
The movie has great art direction and Rutger Hauer is great. Other than that, it's pretty meh.
