I've raved about it before but I love the Alpharetta amphitheater. It's sterile and corporate but there isn't a bad seat in the house and it's easy to move around.
Pro tip: they have special areas you can stand in the aisle between the box seats. They mark them with tape. One person deep. So if you have lawns and want to get closer you can stand there. But if you leave the taped area they'll get on to you.
But imo the best seats in the house are front row center lawn. Great view great sound. You have to go into the venue as soon as it opens to snag those seats.
I'm surprised we haven't already seen anything in Nash for local venues picking up some of the lineup. Here's to hoping more develops as we get closer to the weekend. Roo blues in full effect

I'm expecting we see some announcements tomorrow and Thursday
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

For anyone in Florida Deadmau5 is playing a pool club in Tampa on labor day (WTR, the old Beach/Hogan's). It's a douchy venue that charges different prices for men and women though. You know the type.
The time I was almost arrested at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and ended up on WSMV News 4, Nashville. by Jason the Muddy Roots Promoter.
The first time 2 times I went to Bonnaroo they opened miles of their walls for folks to paint whatever they wanted. I went and painted weird personal art as I had gone with a group of sober folks and was on a personal journey. The second, I put up a ton of Muddy Roots pieces and images of musicians that play our festival.
The third time I went was a few years after. I bounced around all day to find bands I had never heard of, visit some we knew from our own events, and of course see some of the larger acts. I figured I'd wake up early the next morn and paint some walls in Centeroo for the crowds to see as they came in for performances later that day. I loaded up by duffle bag with spray paint and strolled right in. There were volunteers and staff marching around, doing their thang. I s'pose the look of "It's okay for me to be here," on my face made it so no one would stop me.
Well apparently, the rules had changed and WE WERE NOT ALLOWED TO PAINT THE WALLS. hahhahahaha. A security guard ran up to me halfway through and was radioing in for backup. He asked me what I was doing, with a sternness. I didn't know I was breaking the rules and obviously didn't run away. I calmly told him why I was painting. He could tell I was not being malicious and let me finish. I tweeted about it and found out the local news channel had broadcasted my pic from the wall. That made me nervous about any post-fest retribution.
Fast forward to 2021 to see Bonnarroo has canceled their event due to flooding. Our event is about an hour North, on the Upper Cumberland plateau and was not affected by the storms. We're inviting a small handful of their crowd up to see what our festival is all about. (Like a few dozen) Muddy Roots Gospel has ALWAYS been about reaching in to other scenes to find the fringe. Let's show them how we do in the field!
We'll see you when the sun comes out on Thursday! muddyroots.com

Was intrigued by this, but can’t justify going to a venue charging different prices based on gender. Big ole fuck that. They also keep calling him “deadmou5” in their emails, so clearly they don’t care about who they’ve even booked.
fwiw I won't be adding non-Bonnaroo artist shows to the OP. I'll keep my on Do615 all day though to see if anything gets added to Nashville, and of course notify me if any other Atlanta/Asheville/Chattanooga/Knoxville etc. shows get added.

While Speed Stick wouldn’t have been tearing up a stage at Bonnaroo, I’m hoping someone sees them open for Modu. I’m curious how this fleshes out live. When I saw them a few years ago they were just two drummers. Now they’re a Polvo/Bat Fangs/ Love Language supergroup that invites musicians to play with them. Dunno how that’s gonna be live.
The Band Camino announced they’re doing a show Sunday night at Basement East. First band on the bill I’ve seen do an “official” booking at a venue in Nashville

thanks for sharing; looks like the basement/basement east is open most of the weekend so I'll definitely keep an eye out there too.
The Basement East is a great venue. They got demolished in the tornado last year but they are back. You can park across the street at the Fireman’s Credit Union from 6PM-3AM. And grab some hot chicken from Bolton's down the street on Main.
edit-also our Airbnb host just sent us a message that there are several places in and around Manchester trying to put together some music besides The Other Fest. If there is anyone still hanging around. I will let you guys know what we find out.
