Y'all crazy. Beside you just having to dip a corndog, opposed to loading a hotdog up with shit, corndogs are very convenient. The only way I am eating a hotdog with on a bun with chili, cheese, relish and mustard.
I eat my dogs with mustard, onion & chili. That's just not really viable for a corn dog. Also, with a hot dog I never have to wonder when I'm going to bite into solid wood.
You don't eat corn dogs often enough if that's a problem. You gotta push it up like a popsicle. Someone else mentioned that before, it's not a joke, that's how you eat them.
I just don’t understand the passion for the spicy pie. Is there not good pizza where you live?
I have had a lot of good pizza in my life. Atlanta has good spots and I have been to NYC plenty. Spicy pie is less about the food itself and more about the experience of eating it. Of course, jalapeños and pepperoni are a perfect pairing for a pizza, especially thin crust. But it’s more about sweating your face off in 90 degree weather because it’s a challenge you take upon yourself. The amount of grease on one of those babies could cure three hangovers. Sure, the taste is average but it tastes like Bonnaroo. It tastes like coming down off of an acid trip and finally being able to eat after 12 hours and filling your stomach with some spicy gift from the gods.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

I put mustard in my red beans. Just a squirt. It is an extremely subtle flavor that actually enhances other complimentary flavors in the dish. If you don't dowse/drown your food with mustard it has a very nice flavor.

They had these really good hot dogs one year with all kinds of toppings I’d never had on a hotdog. My wife and I still talk about those hotdogs.
Possibly Crif Dogs. 2013 I think was the year they were there. Never saw them any other years. Possibly near Which, kinda where Hamageddon has set up? Maybe. I dunno..they all blur together.

Yea that’s what it was. I had to get the description from my wife because I forget everything.
There was one that was like pimento cheese, and one that was “everything bagel “ with scallions, cream cheese, and everything bagel seasoning, and I think like an Asian situation of some kind

I can eat like 5 hot dogs. I will normally take a corn dog over a hot dog if given the option though. Mustard is the only essential condiment for either, but I'll usually add whatever's available to a hot dog.

I just hope they up the options this year. I don't like or eat any of the generic shit at most of the kiosks, but I've been pretty happy with the food trucks and much of the barbecue at Hamageddeon (sp?). The bacon flights aren't worth the price, but pretty much everything else there is.
With all the great regional food up there, and with the bullshit promise that "it's the best food I'll eat all year" (it's likely not even the best I had that week), I'd be wanting some hot chicken. I don't think I found any last year, but maybe I missed it. ACL has done a great job upping its food game the last several years, so I'm wanting Bonnaroo to move on that shit.
