That battle was just the opinion of three people judging, and we all voted a good deal of both DP and Suf, hence why the battle went for so many songs.
But Sufjan just isn’t circle jerked around here much at all?? I feel like he will come up, and it’s like “Rummy loves him so much blah blah” or “all he makes is sleepy music” and honestly more often he’s mentioned in mocking than in veneration.
So I’m genuinely confused why he’s making it so far in this

But still no one has answered for me how Sufjan is overrated here lol. A minority of us really like him, most seem to think he’s talented but not their cup of tea, and then plenty don’t like him at all. So I’m just honestly trying to understand the argument for him making it round after round here
