Why not? D1 is about examining behavior of as many people as possible. No need to rush this
It’s just easier to get from 4>3 than 5>3. 5-ways it’s easier for us to mess up and make the runoff smaller too quickly or kill someone on accident. That’s really the only difference that I see for a 5-way to 4-way. I’m not sure having that extra person helps with info that much.

With a runoff already formed, there's no reason we can't move on to the first runoff at like 9pm tonight. I don't think we need the ref to do it, I think we can just sort of move ourselves.

Idk, pretty much agree with what James said. I've never liked 5-ways. 4-ways are cleaner. 5*3/11 > 4*3/11 is such a basic analysis, imo. Basically a tautology.

In my view the difference between a 5-way and a 4-way in terms of info gained is a wash. The only thing we really get is a harder way to a 3-way runoff.

But what I think a five-way can do is dilute the runoff, which is more likely than not to happen, both because Mafia has much more information than Town does on Day 1 and there are more Townies than Mafia to get thrown in as the fifth.
