ah yes, the two day version of our festival that didn't actually happen. after we broke down how our lineup is pretty damn close to equal with the 2017 lineup. we are truly hypocrites.

jortles and i are having fun. we selected a festival that was given as an option to draft in this GAME where presumably no one is playing just to draft a bunch of trash. why this continues to offend your sensibilities so intensely is beyond me
TOSTIE - just curious, did you include this fest as an option to draft as some sort of trap/trick for the team who picks it, or did you anticipate whoever selected the fest would take the initiative to improve upon it while still maintaining some semblance of its real structure and size?
honest question, if someone took Hangout, and then booked your exact lineup or the FFF lineup, would you not find that kind of odd?
of course no one is playing to draft a bunch of trash, but you kinda took the festival that does book a lot of trash. clearly the reason you chose the festival is the cool location / venue, which is fine! we considered going Fuji Rock for that reason, but ultimately landed on FYF because we valued a strong lineup more.
Hangout has a cool venue, but there's a reason that nobody even considered taking Hangout.
just being honest, it doesn't feel like you guys have tried to maintain any semblance of of Secret Solstice's size or structure. and as a result it feels like we're playing completely different games with completely different objectives.

Secret Solstice is not the Hangout of Iceland. They normally book good shit. The only thing they are lacking is a ton of Icelandic acts, which shouldn’t be their goal anyways given the audience that will be voting.

but at the same time the Secret Solstice 2018 top line was Martin Garrix / Black Eyed Peas / Robert Plant, which is very Hangout if you ask me.

We absolutely ARE maintaining some of its structure and size - our picks are consistently smaller now than others’ are at this same stage. We’re going to take much smaller names later on, as we’ve reiterated time and time again. Budget wise Secret Solstice had Radiohead one year which is def more expensive than Bjork or Dua individually, so we felt that wasn’t a ridiculous top 2 to snag. And again, this is a! Fantasy! Draft!
