Eggs Benedict is a bougie ass meal, ain’t no one got time for all that!
Muffins are a staple of the workings man’s breakfast routine, grab a muffin and a cup of coffee on your way to your job that keeps the wheels of the American economy moving!
A vote for muffins is a vote for the working man!!
that's true, if you don't consider the cooking aspect of a muffin but you do consider the cooking aspect of eggs benedict, a muffin is a lot quicker of a meal.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Why did I read that in a stereotypical Texan accent.
Kolaches are the best breakfast food btw. Not even on this.
In Portugal you have these sort of pasteries aswell, but I forgot the name. You could eat a dozen of em.
The Czech term for what we in Texas call kolaches is klobasnik(i), I believe. Sausage encased in bread, often with cheese. Gotta have jalapeños in them here in Texas.
A kolache technically is more of a pastry with jam/cream cheese in the center, much like what Americans call a Danish. Most donut shops here sell klobasnik under the name kolache.
Yeah, they serve breakfast. They have for decades. In what way is that a point?
It's not because you can 'get' food at some place in the morning that means that you can consider it 'breakfast food'. Or else we can also add Druid 's bloody mary or whatever.
Again this makes no sense.
Nobody is arguing that the ability to acquire something at a certain time of day makes something breakfast. Just because I can buy batteries at 7 AM doesn't make them breakfast.
Things that are commonly served for breakfast should be considered breakfast. McDonald's serves pancakes and hash browns and egg sandwiches. Just because they're served by McDonald's doesn't mean that they're not breakfast.
I honestly don't know why you brought up McDonald's as some sort of silver bullet.

I used McDo as an example as a fast food chain that is open in mornings and can sell burgers in the morning, just like you can sell your muffins in the morning. Doesn't make them a breakfast food. Muffins are not 'commonly served for breakfast'. Pancakes, hash brown or well, rosti and egg sandwiches are.

I don't think McDonald's sells burgers in the morning. They just serve breakfast. Maybe I'm wrong. The only thing I buy from there is a Happy Meal for the kids every couple of months.
Muffins are a breakfast food here. Maybe not in Europe. But in the US they are a standard breakfast offering.
You may not like them. They may not be healthy. But they absolutely are a breakfast food.

Well, that's why I voted for it and you perhaps not.
I like muffins with a cup of coffee in the afternoon, or in the evening when I'm getting hungry and want a snack. But not as a breakfast food. It's a small cake really after all and as a breakfast food that's kinda weird. Also, I'm not basing my votes on how healthy is. It's an argument, but not mine.
